Cricket Albury/wodonga

So lets recap what i no with all the movemts this year. is it just me or are there alot more people changing clubs this year?

greg daniel-city colts
josh warrenmarmo-city colts
james tonkin-wodonga
brendan kb-wodonga
trent ball-wodonga
sam oconner-east albury
drew cameron-belvoir
zack simmonds-belvoir
tom cencic-belvoir
brandon n john purtell-north albury?
jessie griffiths-north albury
jerim hays-albury

these are just what ive herd, not 100 percent but just what rumors are going around. feel free to add or remove players.

what are peoples ideas on changing ideas? i think there are good times to change, like if you arent getting a good go at their own club, then leave, but just to leave because they think another team will be more competitive is wrong, i think anyway.

thisis my early ladder for the end of the year.

Pat Plummer to Albury. Have also heard both the new clubs in provincial have acquired pommes.Raiders with an All Rounder and New Cty with a W/K Batsman.
Be interesting to see how many clubs go down this path this season.

While I have not talked to him personally about it. I believe that Sam O'Connor will be staying at Lavington Panthers.

Good to get back into it, a bit goin on by the look/sounds of it, should be an interesting season this one. Can't wait to see the BM pre-season guide later! Good luck to all clubs in both divisions!

Well have heard that a few clubs have landed Poms again. Be on the look out I have been informed . Raiders have got one and should be very handy. Not a kid either this time around. Wodonga are looking at a import but not sure where from. Maybe across the river .??? North Howlong will be the side to bite at the dogs . Gee with all this wet weather training whould be in top gear;)

Wodonga looking for an import? Haven't they imported enough this off season? I bet last year's players are going to be rapt when they get picked in second grade at the start of the season.

I think you will find its Wodonga "Raiders' looking for the import not Wodonga Bulldogs?

Apparently the Colts boys are starting their own breakaway club called: The Groove Saint Goats.

Sad to see Ryland head off to a rival club but we wish him all the best. He's come through our juniors through to captaining our club and we were pinning our hopes on young blokes like himself to make us competitive this season. If he thinks going elsewhere can better him as a cricketer half his luck and he'll always be welcome back at our club. As for an import the one we are looking at is a beauty and we are looking forward to the rep coach dropping into training to have a look at him.:p

Rep season will be great without country week this year.. :/

If you look at what I wrote I said from across the river. Wodonga will be like Tallangatta and have players from other towns. On Tallangatta heard that when and if Woods and Lade retire they will end up in district comp. In the end who do they have left from up there.

Well Head off to Belvoir . Funny because I was talking to a Eagle man today and said he was going there. But because not happy on missing out on being captain. Also Marmo was close because of Drew Cameron going across but stuck with the guy who pays him.

Hey Raider Boi I have heard big things about your Pom. Will be very handy pick up for you guys.

No news on what CAW will do with draw? But have been told all grades start on same day.

Interesting to see wodonga has singed up james saker, well done wodonga on recruiting well. it begs the question, is cricket becoming like country football and is there money getting thrown around? I know tallangatta have thrown money around over the years, but maybe its just luck of the draw that wodonga have been in the right place at the right time.

I have just been on mycricket and had a look on wodongas last game last year against st pats. their batting line up was garvey, dalbosco, rogalski, jackson, beattue, gilbee, king, berg, craig, kennedy, robinson, collins. With the 4 new recruits you would think ball was replace dalbosco, tonkin replace rogalski, klien boonsckate to replace collins and saker to replace kennedy or robinson. some hard selection questions there but how many players will be disgruntled by the new recruits just walking in and getting a game. statistics show that tonkin would be right to walk in, however klien boonsckate only got 16 wickets and ball only got 264 runs. Where as beau kennedy got 26 wicketd and garvey made 302 runs. Hardley record breaking results by some of the gun recruits. be careful wodonga, you dont want the players that have stuck by the club through thick and thin leaving because the new recruits are looked after and treated like gods. which from what ive heard is what happened at st pats with a certsin recruit over the past couple of seasons. look after the people that look after the club.

I love the irony of this post considering its author probably got one of the best cricket pay cheques going around last season
Believe whatever you like but no $paid$ players at Wodonga.

As for selection Jack Craig is in Melbourne so that frees up a spot.
Rogalski Berg out (ave age of 28)
Tonkin Ball and Saker in.
Robbinson Collins Hales Kennedy Spike fight it out for the bowling spots!

"the best thing to watch someone eat is sour grapes"
