Re: Bond's International career over?
It's a shame to lose one of the best fast bowlers the world has seen, but you can't blame Bond for wanting to secure his financial future.
Re: Falling away at delivery
As briefly mentioned in the first reply, your front arm can assist in keeping you upright.
Lock your front arm in close to your body. Really use it to force your body through your action and over your front leg.
This can help with balance and pace.
Re: Struggling on the front foot.
1) The distance you step out is going to be based on how balanced you are. There is no point in stepping out as far as you can and toppling over because you feet are 2 metres apart!
Perhaps you could try batting out of your crease where possible to get closer...
Re: initial shuffle
A small initial movement is fine, so long as you keep your head as still as possible.
I think ideally, a small movement with your back foot across from a leg stump guard works best.
Try to avoid making your first movement with your front foot as it makes it harder to move...
Re: playing on off side
When driving through the off side on the front foot, make sure as much of your back foot stays on the ground as possible. This will help with 1) Balance & 2) Power.
Re: How to get more pace
Locking your front leg at the knee is apparently an effective way of getting through your action quick, with more thrust.
Pretty sure Brett Lee uses this technique...
Re: Off spin
It may have been mentioned already, but try and have your arm come almost over the top of your head. This will assist with flight, drop and spin. It may feel funny to start with, but it will help.
Re: Back Foot Drive
It's a shot that is really only a viable option on bouncy pitches.
Don't throw your hands at the ball- play it as late as possible.
