Not sure Cutter from ED would be 40 yet. Don't think Hargreaves is 40. Tsonis(Bull) would be 40 I reckon and maybe Porter is close. I think Mackintosh from RC is over 40.
Is he a bit overated though? He is a true all rounder which always makes you valuable but his stats last year were:
170 runs @ 18.9 and 12 wickets @ 21.6. He had done well in 'A' turf for a while before that at both Heathmont and Iris but it is in Dunstan that counts.
I really don't have any problems with him either anymore. He has delivered a few unnecessary sprays after plays and misses by me when he was bowling years ago. The last time we played against him he was much less aggressive and arrogant. Think he might have mellowed a bit in the last few years.
Grubich will bowl himself plenty and no doubt alienate the rest of the team. Heard he was not well liked at all at Heathmont when he was captain/coach there.
Not a bad idea at all Council. Something has to be done about Richmond Union. They have finished bottom the last 3 years in a row and now the heroes will get rewarded by getting to play against everyones elses' 2nds. If they make finals it is a disgrace and they shouldn't be awarded anything...
I don't believe that.
1.) I don't think Wrighty is that sort of guy.
2.) Despite being short of optimal playing weight Hargreaves had a cracker of a year last year.
If Mark Cosgrove can play state cricket then I am pretty sure Hargreaves can play Dunstan shield.
What else you got?
I wonder if you would have the guts to say that to his face? The guy has played test cricket. What have you ever done? He probably is insignificant to Dunstan shield but why lay into him. Pretty easy to sling mud from afar mate. Achieving something is a lot harder. I bet if you meet him you...
50+ wickets is an awesome year. I had no idea he had that good a year 1st up. Would that have been 2004/05? I think i faced him 2005/06 and perhaps he wasn't that interested anymore. Does anybody know what is the most wickets a Dunstan bowler has taken in a season?
Why was he good? What were his stats? He was well washed up by the time he got to the ECA IMHO.
Spud is also challenging Carey and Bradley as a legend bowler of the ECA. Another 2 succesful years and he will be right up there.
Is this based on the fact that he had played 1st class cricket? What were Shaun Carey's stats? He played for 2 maybe 3 years didn't he? Couldn't bat. I was decidedly unimpressed when we played him. Looked disintersted. He obviously got some bounce because he was so tall but he wasn't that...
Getting close to a new cricket season. Time for rumours. I will start off. I heard Heath Streak the former Zimbabwe test player will be playing for Ashburton Willows this season. Anyone from the willows confirm?
