If we go down to A Turf so be it, it means we weren't good enough and deserve to drop down, there would then be 10 or however many teams there are in Dunstan superior to ours and i can cop that, stop whinging that your team is better then dunstans though cause its getting pathetic
20/20 is hit and giggle so if you think that justifies A Turf teams being on the same level you are a bigger fool then i thought. If the blokes that came up are good enough to make the semi's then thats good work by them, history shows us its though to do so they have done an excellent job...
Your kidding yourself Chopper, those teams in Dunstan have earned the right to call themselves superior to A turf teams because they have played in a stronger grade and managed to win enough points to stay up even though finishing 3rd last, if the A Turf teams were so SUPERIOR they wouldn't be...
I think you will find though that the team with the most singles will generally win most 20/20 games so those blokes that value there wickets and have a bit of class like an Aldons can bat through the innings providing a solid contributer and then have the supposed big hitters at the other end...
The best 20/20 players are the all rounders, Parsons, Tongue, Andrews & Swift, these blokes will dominate the game as they have more influence then any others to decide the contest. My smokey for best 20/20 player though is James Binney solid bowler, fielder and batter and has a young energetic...
Yep fully agree half those blokes are gone or hacks, Voor Haar is a joke but i do reckon big Dino is a 20/20 specialist, he won't get tired after 4 overs and can hit the hardest ball i have seen in this comp
My tips are
GI - Bulleen - GI as Bulleen are struggling
Marcellin v RC - close game, RC just
Ash v MA - Ashburton to good
St Kev - Mulgrave - Mulgrave should
ED v Deepdene - up and down wicket there, East Donny are my smokey
Hawthorn v Boronia - Hawthorn at home = Tongue runs
good topic that i personally think the bowlers are the most vital part of the team as there are so many bland wickets that having a decent bowler in your attack goes along way to helping your side influence a contest however there are some quality bats in the comp as well, mine as follows...
Is he seriously a district 2 player??? Wow they have had 1 decent player over the last few years in S Ford and Mackintosh has been handy as well other then that they are a shambles. N laws and Andrews have talent but are both on themselves way to much and as you say Marty that Dent was a merc...
From all reports they are better though this year, Clarence isn't there again so that explains why there behaviour is a little better, he held a fair bit of sway in that club and him moving to Sydney freeing up there salary cap has helped, I heard he was on some decent coin, couldn't tell from...
Richmond City are still muppetts, behind the bat they think there all superstars and gob off a fair bit, that tall guy in Gully loves a chat and bloody M Andrews is a pest, suprising considering they have just avoided relegation nearly every year
