On the side, talking about VTCA with heads in the sand, is there anychance the VTCA will change archaic rule of no sawdust allowed on damp wickets. Using grass clippings is a dangerous practice.
Congrats to OM with a few of the boys just surfacing now! Fair assessment on Port they battled hard with the ball, but yet again failed with the bat when under the spell of Seeary & Woite.
Not sure if he has bad knees as I havn't seen him play that often. I think one of the threads said he has a crook back and thats why he has hardly bowled this season. The game is set up to be a cracker!
LOL NCDPP. The so called Parkdale Snr Div attack looks like its well below that wild statement. Port will have a few demons to rid at SC, last time they played there they where done like a dinner in a GF against Chelsea. As 'Thescorer' has noted though Port have scored almost a thousand runs...
I agree. Port have looked the goods for a few years now but just failed with the bat in finals.
'Boomboom' did mention something that just makes Parkdale impossible to pick.
Loss to OM by over 150, Loss to Port, Loss to BD outright, Loss to Chelsea.
Thats ordinary form leading into a final.
I...
I would think Brighton at their best would not beat OM. They are playing away on a road at OM not on their uggly paddock.
Prediction is the two fav's OM and Port both to win semi's easily and play off in the GF.
Chapps mouthing off Never! Intersting games in play can Chelsea get OM out for 167 they already have them 1/14! What about BD getting Mentone out for 57! Might be an out right on the cards there. Parkdale also shaky at 2 for 20odd.
I wonder what sort of deck Chelsea will serve up to OM next week? PM lost 20/20 last night and looked below standard to SC who have only managed two wins in Senior Div this year. Parkdale should remain in third or possible second spot with a big win over hapless Hampton. Chelsea or BD for fourth?
Wow they are damming stats for Daykin. I still would think Port is fav for flag. Looking at the last time Port & OM played there was only 20 runs between the teams with Daykin making a duck and Tolly making a ton so that suggestes to me Port may be stronger. Should be a great GF if they both...
If you look at this simply Chelsea is more realistic chance to win in a one day game. In fact any team below the top four are more of a chance to beat a top four side in a one day game rather then a two day game as the class normally prevails in the two day format. Funny things seem to happen...
