Australia & South Africa In Zimbabwe 2014

I haven't seen Zimbabwe play for a while but they were dreadful on Monday Night, some of shot selection was diabolical.

In the game now between Australia and South Africa, Australia have made 7/327. Finch hit 102, Bailey 66, Hughes 51. Johnson and Smith played late innings cameos to take Australia well past 300. Funnily enough Johnson's strike rate in this series so far is 243.75. Morne Morkel, McLaren and Imran Tahir took two wickets each for the Proteas.

In reply South Africa are 0/1 after one over.

Well they called the over early there and de Kock is out. The umpires realised Starc's over was one ball short, called everyone back into position and de Kock top edges a pull to Faulkner who runs in from deep backward square leg.

2/63 now after 11 overs. de Villers and du Plessis both on 8.

South Africa will now get this total fairly comfortably, some pretty ordinary bowling in this innings against some fine batting from de Villiers.

Big learning curve for some of our inexperienced bowlers, but that's no bad thing. They'll have to learn to adapt fast against top batsmen.

Australia into the final after beating South Africa last night. Mitch Marsh dominated with the bat while Phil Hughes also scored some runs. Aaron Phangiso bowled well for the Proteas taking two wickets.

In reply Faf du Plessis scored a century but lacked support as South Africa ended up falling in a hole. Several of the Australian bowlers took two wickets along with Mitch Marsh who got Man of the Match for his all-round effort.

well it has been a bit up and down but i don't imagine it is all that much fun playing in Zimbabwe. Good to see them improve as a team but really why is it we are supporting the government??

Well at this stage it looks like they are going to knock this total off comfortably, du Plessis in good form.

Marsh was the only one who could win it for the Aussies again by the time they were five down for stuff all, he's the least experienced and the youngest in the squad which says a lot about how the team has travelled.

Fantastic stuff from Steyn though. I wish just one of our bowlers had his level of singlemindedness. Not his talent, that is a bit much to expect.
