2015 Ashes - Australia In England

We are screwed now.
Gee your the optimist. with the way the series has gone we are likely to win the next test by 500 runs then it will be England are history. Just fun to see a series that was not over on the first day of the first test.

England won the toss and will bowl first in the fourth test. England go into the game making one change with Mark Wood replacing James Anderson who is out with a side strain. Australia have also made a change and have brought in Shaun Marsh for younger brother Mitch who is omitted. Shaun Marsh will bat at four with Clarke dropping to five and Voges at six.

Australia have lost their first wicket. Good length from Broad, the ball nips away and Rogers get a nick through to Cook at first slip. Rogers gone for a duck, his first in test cricket.

Australia 1/4 in the first over. That was Broad's 300th test wicket as well.

And another down. Similar sort of delivery, back of a length and Smith hangs the bat out and gets an edge to Root at third slip.

2/10 after one over. Interesting to say the least.

And another! Same sort of delivery again, back of a length and nips away a tad to take the edge of Warner's bat through to Buttler behinds the stumps. Wood has his first wicket of the match.

3/10 now and we've only had 1.2 overs.

Four down now. Full outside off to Marsh, this one seams away and Marsh gets the edge behind after attempting to drive. Broad now has three wickets.

4/15 in just the third over of the game. Voges next in.

Didn't lose a wicket that over!

Another one for Broad, full at off stump and Voges drives hard but edges to Stokes at fifth slip who takes a brilliant catch, the ball was basically behind him when he caught it.

Voges gone for one and Australia are 5/21. Peter Nevill walks in.

So the feeble performance with the bat was only matched by Clarke's weak excuses. Really you would think he would have done the right thing and resigned in disgrace. Must congratulate Broad though. What a fantastic spell of bowling. Used the conditions he had to bowl controlled and accurate swing. A big lesson for our bowlers who are now struggling at 4/274.

Australia need a better game plan to tackle overseas conditions they lost in India, Pakistan (uae) and almost certainly in England. Time for some serious evaluation.

Lessons that we are unable to learn it seems
