2015 Ashes - Australia In England

Selection would have made little difference, i think the whole team attitude needs to change, i partly blame the coaching for this. need a specialist coach for overseas condition.
I have a bit of a soft spot for Boof but yes the preparation for tours is lacking. For me it is the captain that must go. There was always alot made about AB and the captain grumpy tag, but in the end he had a team that could not win the friday raffle at the pub. He introduced a high level of discipline into the team and from there a dynasty was built. It would appear the current captain is lacking such discipline and respect, and the required mongrel is missing in the team attitude. They rather go on holiday between games than put in the hard yards.

It's pretty funny reading Ljp posts from the previous page. He wouldn't have been able to finish a post, before another wicket fell!

What a catch from Stokes!

Even if you're an Australian wanting Australia to win. You've gotta enjoy seeing Warner get out for a duck. ************ he is.

Possible two day Test coming up. The first session will be telling.

Well another collapse that is only further showing how out of form and touch and interest Clarke is. The team was changed so Clarke could go to 5. waste of time he still can not bat. Better off having Clarke get some strange hamstring issue for the last test and put the younger players in with Smith as captain. And next time no family on tour. That might have been ok for the great team of the 00's but even they had rules about no family till the tour was won.

Well we may have got thumped in the ASHES but at least we beat NZ in the Rugby to win the Four-Nations. Now to beat them at home for the bledisloe as i am not sure we can beat them in the cricket next summer with the current team attitude and lack of discipline. On notice would have to be Warner and Johnson. Both are show ponies at home but lack the ability to adapt and learn in the game when away in difficult conditions. SA may be to there liking but that is pure luck with the pitches there. Clarke going is hard for a young group but it is good news for a team that has to throw off the weight of a period where team unity was a fairy tale and playing for yourself has been the way.
All that is left in this series is to win the last test and make it 3-2. That way it would show that they do want it and can adapt if they try as a team. Put Shaun Marsh to open with Rogers and bring Mitch back in. Warner could do with the rest to think about what he wants. Personal glory or team. All his runs have come in second innings efforts with Ashes cricket. A few have been of value but mostly they are of less relevance. I remember another batsman that was outraged when he was dropped who had a similar problem with scoring all his runs in dead rubbers or lost second innings. Dean Jones.

England have won the toss and will bowl first. They're unchanged while Australia have brought in Peter Siddle for Josh Hazlewood while Mitch Marsh replaces brother Shaun.

Oh goodie another crap Pommy pitch. Wonder if it will backfire this time. Even Clarke doesn't see it going more than three days with the state of the thing. Plain ordinary.
