Nmca 2016/17

Almost at the business end and the next two weekends will really septet the pack.

It'll be interesting to see what the ladder looks like at the end of January.

Note: The fixture is a joke! We have to do something about it...

The fixture is a big joke... 7th of January and we are looking to play the first game back. Where is the courtesy for the player. People have families. People go away and some would love to go away. Some players dont want to let the club down by not playing so their families are missing out instead so the club isnt in struggling for numbers and getting in the crap with the comp for not filling sides.

Will be interesting to see what the comp does today... projected 37 degrees. Yesterday went over the projected by a couple of degrees. Would love to see a judgement call made to make sure the players/umpires safe and wellbeing are put first.

ECA have just called off all games except top 2 shields on syntho and top 3 on turf

If games get called off and it doesnt reach 38 by a couple degrees. Im sure no one will slag the comp off for trying to look out for the ppl involved in the middle..
Anyway thats my own opinion and im sure there is players out there that want to play and have theirs.

Good luck to all involved today!

Big weekend of cricket. The kookies back on top. Definitely firming favourite to win the title again. Socials back in the 4, & a close battle between eagles & lalor proving that everyone is lining up to be the runner up.

Interesting time to head overseas for some of the NU boys who handed Socials a walk in the park round 9... They would want to be back in time for the game against Rosebank or their season could be in real strife.

Word coming out of Northern Socials is of player discontent in regards to pay. Some players are angry that others who are not contributing much on field are getting paid more. Also those on high wages aren't training due to fake injuries

Can anyone confirm there was extraordinary meeting last night in regards to this issue??

Wont be back but the boys that are selected will have a red hot go ;) $

I being making reference to this issue in an early post. Very good players down there but only reason they are there is $$$$. Nimm already talking about playing in eastern area for next seasonn. As i said the men in charge are highly unhappy with the situation.

Interesting results over weekend. Kooks & Rosebank at top of table. Parkers set to be relegated. Coltery struggling as a club, northern back on track & can beat anyone on there day. i had a chat with a trinner & very disappointed with loss to United, some questionable decisions in that match may be v costly. Umps just not up to it.
also heard that very likely that whitey may be moving to rosebank next season. This move has been on the cards for a few seasons. Could be a handy pickup. Socials win on Saturday has settled the powerbrokers for the time being although the threat of sacking players was floated last week.

quite possibly the funniest thing ever written on here , when the f was whitey ever at rosebank im sure they would welcome him, thier thirds play on a ground where he wouldnt have to run to much might be a good fit LMFAO

Whitey couldn't ever be fitting in to the culture at NBR. They being the complete opposites. He wouldn't ever go there to be playing in the lower grades. Anyway he's past his best. Finished at the higher level. Could be a good addition as a coach in money or kelly shields. Bye bye.

Im hearing bad news that the coltery are in trouble & may be close to an end. Very hard getting players to represent them. Maybe the ladies should play & help out!! Bye for now.

Keon Park would be the biggest bunch of smart arses doing the rounds. Had alot to say in this match. Sitting on the bottom of the ladder & acting as if they on top. Seniors had alot to say along with supporters. Good luck in quick shield.

Please. Give it a rest. Rivergum give it as good as anybody. Nice to see them cop a whack back, and then have a sook about it.

"Simba, Rosewank are a quality side? Are you serious?
They're not good enough, they have tried to develop their own
kids but you've seen what's happened to them the last three years,
When the pressure is on the "kids" can't handle the pressure. They
went out and got JT and he's just as bad under pressure. Won't make
It, might be okay in a few years time get a new Captain and then see
where they are."

Simba, Were was I wrong??
All out 52, what a joke. Anyone can win it this year.
Parkers have shown what they can do, shouldn't be in the position they are in, another top Captain.
Olympic Colts will save them by folding.

What a weekend of results. 3 out the top 4 losing. Its now wide open for anyone to win title. Trinners in good form & may do well. Im thinking kooks just preparing for finals. Warriors & Eagles looking shaky. Maybe the socials can surprise everyone. One thing for sure is coltery are finishing up which will keep parkers alive. I did find out 2 dubios leg before wickets dismissals in Parker v rivergum game has one captain very upset. Bye for now.

Now it's really interesting up the top, and some would say even down at the bottom of the ladder.

I think the socials have a dream run but without Sharma for a month it will test the others who are hit and miss.

Rivergum are very beatable but have a few to possibly come into the side and are still abundant with depth.

Rosebank are looking to bounce back after being absolutely smashed and made to look very poor. They will look to bat first and post 180+ this week in their usual 80 over drip feed.

Lalor are still a danger side who have been around the mark for a long time. Their issue is the top order but it they can get off to a decent start, they will be very hard to beat.

Holy Trinity is under a lot of pressure to find some success. They have beaten their chests for a long time but haven't been good enough when it's crunch time. This fortnight will be their test.

Huge fortnight for the the top 5, as any of them could still miss finals or finish top. Socials to finish on top is my tip...
