An hour before the game for a warm up plus 3 hours of game time, plus watching either the earlier or later game supporting your team mates takes up most of the day I would think.
Why have the vsdca decided to bring back a 20/20 round. What a waste of a Saturday - dedicating a whole day to 3 hours of cricket / 40 overs where only a handful of players get to bat and bowlers bowl a few overs. Disappointing.
Does anyone know if the subbies have changed their professional player rules? It looks like some clubs might have found a loophole and are paying coaches (who also play in the 1st XI) but then are also paying two players.
The Executive Committee has decided that all 3rd & 4th XI games scheduled for Saturday, December 19 and Sunday, December 20 have been cancelled.
1st & 2nd XI games will commence at the normal One Day time of 12.30 pm but will be reduced to an 80 over game(40 overs per side).
