I heard that on the radio a couple of months ago, but nothing since.
I am not sure who would run it. Lavington Panthers didn't run it last season as they wanted to concentrate on celebrating their centenary, now that is over they might decide to run it again. I also think that Gary Tonkin was...
I agree with you TRS. IMHO, St Pats should have been awarded the premiership as they finished higher on the ladder than Wodonga after the home and away season, so should have had a higher ranking.
This appears to be the problem. St Patricks finished higher on the Home and Away ladder than Wodonga, but Wodonga was awarded the premiership, because they were the "higher ranked" team. No one on this forum seems to know how Wodonga became the "higher ranked" team.
I thought it was strange when I heard Wodonga won, when I knew that St Pat's finished higher on the ladder at the end of the season. I always thought that the team that finished higher on the ladder were considered the winner if there was no result in any final. That's their reward for playing...
Just found this in the Junior Common rules on the CAW website (caw.vic.cricket.com):
"The Junior Coordinator and CAW Pennant Committee will make the decision as to whether play will
commence in the case of extreme heat, smoke or other adverse weather conditions.
These decisions will be made...
Balls don't seem to be too bad (at least the two pieces we have been using in 3rds). They are an improvement on the balls we have been given in previous seasons.
Just to clear up a few things in regards to Lavi Panthers. No one has told Trent Ball or anyone else that they are not welcome. We are disappointed that they have decided not to play at Lavi Panthers. Also Spike does still have friends at Lavi Panthers, including myself.
Maybe the district clubs should have had a sook last year about an uneven draw. It is human nature to assume that if nobody complains, then nobody has a problem.
Mick, I think you still have to show some respect to Tonky, after all he is a premiership captain at my club, it is disappointing to see him leave, but it is his decision, as far as I am concerned (and I have not heard anyone at the club say anything different) he is still welcome back at the...
It's interesting, that guys seem to be quick to post comments on this forum within minutes, when someone leaves a club, but not so keen to post a comment when a club announces good news, such as Lavy announcing yesterday it's leadership group for next season :D .
I am personally happy with the...
As a Lavi man it is sad to see Spike leave. He is a good person to have around the club and as a C grader certainly one of the easiest A Grade players to get along with. I remember him one season deciding to help the 12th man provide drinks to B grade players during a B grade final, not many A...
