Now that the season has ended I've been thinking about field placements, my economy hasn't been too food, 5.98 , even though half the games I played were t20s
In longer games I've thought of leaving a lot of gaps on the leg side so the batsman plays leg side and so he plays against the spin...
I knew someone would talk about this but to be honest I don't think dip and drift is enough, it happens too early anyway so batsmen can adjust... I still think it's the same as playing a very slow medium pace bowler, or if you want to add the effect of drift playing a very slow medium pace...
End of the season... Played a Sunday friendly today on my home ground :(
We have two grounds the smaller (still quite big) uses by 3s and 4s alternately and a bigger one used by 1s and 2s alternately.
I play the majority if my games for the 4s or 3s so I play on the smaller one, the groundsman...
Same for me I stuttered in my run up for more than half of the season and about a month ago I changed my run up to a more natural and comfortable run up.
I piece of advice I could give you is don't try to add spin when your about to release the ball, basically don't drag the ball, that's the only time I bowl short balls

I played for the u17s and we just won the Middlesex north cup !!!!! Were going to play the south and then hopefully get into the final to won the big cup!
