    Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Four)

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Three) What I thought would never happen has happened. I've lost my turn. :( Went back to training last night and the ball was hardly doing anything. Hopefully after a couple more sessions it'll start coming back.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two)

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two) Macca, how old is your son? He must be atleast 15 if he's playing people who average 90.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two)

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two) Took 2/19 from 6 overs today. We bowled them out for 90. I didn't bowl too well. First wicket I set the batsman up bowling wide a couple of times, then bowled him the wrong un which he had no clue. After that I tossed one up which he went after and dragged...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two)

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two) How old are your kids? What are they like with the ball? I've got a match starting tomorrow, hoping to bowl first and take a couple of wickets. It's a two week match.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two)

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two) Haha not really. Can't say I know how to do variations of the legspinners. I just bowl the Normal leggie, flighted leggie, flatter leggie, wrong un and sometimes toppy. Sometimes I try and bowl the slider but it just slips out the front too easily and becomes a...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two)

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two) First game finished yesterday. Picked up a nice 3/6 (3 wickets) from 6 overs. It poured the night before so the pitch was drenched and there was little to no turn. I had to very my pace and flight. First wicket was around the wicket to a left hander who...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two)

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Two) Had my first training today and bowled for the first time since March. Boy was I rusty. Bowling full toss after full toss followed by short wide balls spinning away. I got a few in the right areas, but I'll be looking to improve over the coming weeks before...

Leg spinners. How do you start off a spell?

Re: Leg spinners. How do you start off a spell? Very poorly. I usually always start off with a wide or a rank short ball/full toss. I think it's due to the fact that I haven't warmed up well enough or bowled enough practice balls before I start my spell.

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling Been a while since I've bowled. But I might try and bowl a couple in the backyard in the next couple of days. I'll see if I can record it so you can see my action.

    Wrist Spin Bowling

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling Won't lose my turn mate. I rarely bowl in the off season and I still turn if in the next season. 10C for us is very cold (Yes I know you poms are sunbaking in that weather). I've made the school team and I've got 2 T20 matches coming up Monday-week. I should get a...

Re: King Pietersen's Blog- **Updated 02-05-08** Nice stuff, Dan. It's always hard at the start of the season. Getting rid of the rustiness and getting yourself back into form. All the best for the season.
