    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Let’s have a look at how this played out, by looking at your response to Leftarmunorthox’s original post. I think that must be some sort of record. Did you have flood lights? Sarcasm Ah yes. The stupidest way to organise a cricket match known to mankind. To a post where I explained how...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

What type of person would take the excited post of a 14 or 15 year old as 100% gospel. Who would take this post so literally as to believe that the kid actually did play 160 overs in a day. And who would sarcastically attack a young person about their post. There are only a couple of types of...

Now your Maths is in error, If he played 35 overs in the morning and 80 in the afternoon that adds up to 115. Not sure how you got to 160. Are you an accountant?

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I believe you have misinterpreted how cricket is played here SLA. For local Associations Junior games start at 9am and usually finish around 11-45. Senior comp starts at 1pm and generally finishes at around 6pm. These games start the first weekend with one team batting and then the following...

    Umpire Error

I guess the operative word is "considered" obviously the umpire was of the opinion that it was dangerous.

    4 Day Tests

The ICC is proposing that Test matches be shortened to 4 days. Tests will start on a Thursday and finish on the Sunday. They have proposed that Thursday and Friday be set aside as corporate days while Saturday and Sunday will be family days. The first trial of this format will be between the...

    Plastic Balls For Practice

    Plastic Balls For Practice

Instead of the windball in the fruitbowl, fill it with oranges and use it for practice on your walks and after hand to hand practice you can eat it. An orange spun a couple of hundred times is always juicer than an unspun one. Vitamin C won't do you any harm either.

Modifications To Junior Cricket Playing Conditions

It's taken quite a while to get to this stage with the development of modified playing conditions here in Australia for juniors. The following article explains its development in some depth and is worth reading...

    Footwork

When I was a kid in the 50's and 60's this skill looked to be the very first thing mastered by English batsman. I'm glad the game has moved on since then and made cricket a much more enjoyable game to watch.

    Plastic Balls For Practice

Nothing wrong with that Shivam. Try practicing spinning balls onto your bedspread or doona. You can see the spin on the ball but the doona will prevent the ball from running away and you won't have to go chasing the ball all the time.

Why Is Nsw Good At Cricket

While NSW has more Test reps, their record in Shield cricket over the past 10 years hasn't been as good as Victoria (5) and the same as Tassie (2). If you live in any other state you will be aware of a number of players that could have been given a chance ahead of some of the NSW Test reps.

    The Ashes 2017-18

Mason Crane came to Sydney to play Grade Cricket. You would have to something special to get selected to play Shield Cricket for NSW as an overseas player. I would expect him to be given every opportunity to show his skills on the tour.

Not the case here in Australia SLA. All teams are either age category eg.U15 etc. or in a Year level. At my school these are Year 7, Year 8, Year 9&10 and Year 11&12. At junior level there are more kids interested in playing so Year 7 and Year 8 have their own teams. As students get older and...

In discussions with a number of little aths officals quite a few years ago, they were well aware of kids who were more physically developed and their results. Their records showed that the bigger kids participation rates dropped off markedly when their results plateaued and they dropped out of...

Hi Max, It would help to clarify your article by identifying which of the two approaches (LAIP or LAMM) each of the following fall into: Mastery-oriented players tend to be motivated by enhancing their performance by learning and developing new skills. Contrast this to performance-oriented...
