Congrats to WEST on winning the A Turf flag.. great indivual effort by Corey.. well played!! 14 wickets is huge at any level of cricket, and probably should open the door to give the higher level a crack..
Dissapointed in the IMPS! to only make 247 over 2 hits on a pretty good deck is wasteful...
SO, we got beat without a ball being bowled.. So be it, thats why you need to get the starts when no one else does during the year and the outrights along the way during the season to finish top 2..
As for all the cheating talk, dont agree that there was cheating! teams may manipulate a few...
Hey Hats, the undefeated Imps are red hot favourites lets be honest! but i have to ask, what has been the difference this year? other than your young english import, its pretty much the same side youve had for years... based on that, you would expect a few bad performances are only around the...
good summary Hats... showing the signs of a good side when you can fight off any challenge!! 10 points clear on top, u guys will take some beating this year!! how long has it been since imps were flag favoruites?? i reckon it would have been when Dean Chambo was the gun bat at imps??
Been a while since my last post..
Looks like the imps juggernaut is rolling on nicely! with remaining games v Digman, colts and Point cook twice you would expect Imps to finish comfortably on top and HOT favourites for the flag!
We are looking a better side now, but still alot of work to do...
hey checkers - where were most of the team?? hardly recognise a name from your team.. No collins x2, no welshy, no mason, no wonder the score looks like it does
not sure about the charlie rumour - but likely Pacholli may be at GU after xmas! the 4 x Premiership player with Yarraville Club, pretty SOLID top order batsmen which is probably what we need right now!!
well said Hats.. welcome to BC!! your right it is a big game this week.. the gorillas just might just be rolling out a few more of yesterdays heroes!! the Old chambo seen have a sneaky hit in the nets on sunday looking for a spot down the order...
Ive gotta say, the TITB has become quite...
Looks unlikey at this stage there will be play today!
Good effort by Imps getting the points last week, which i think will put them outright on top!
Looks like we have a new flag favourite.... Should liven the comp up a bit!!
cheers boys - enjoys the beers and punt today:D
hey mate,i reckon gellibrand did! what was more laughable was the G'Brand skipper saying u could start on time.. wicket wasnt cut or rolled and had soaked wet patches up the middle of it...
good comp that one, a bye?? you play cricket to play.. 2 weekends out because of a bye, plus a few washouts etc.. Awesome!!
Seems well planned out that new comp.. seems like that group has been created for all the clubs on the verge of folding!!
Gorillas are happy - 2 games out of the first 4 at digman!! handy, best arvo tea in the comp!!! that will encourage sqiuzzy to be ready to go in Round 1....
seems like a bit movement in the comp then.. as for grand, not sure if you would call a couple of 34 yr olds yesterdays heroes.. although wheeling out is probably on the money.. be interested to hear if the older brigade at imps are going around again or you looking at blooding some youngsters??
to be honest, certainly wasnt planned to time him out.. but for those who were there, you couldnt argue that he took over 5 minutes to get to the wicket.. The theatrics by umpire Kev lee just added to the story..
actually cant remember the incident you mentioned, although one against the imps...
As we are all cricket fans on here, im sure i wasnt only the one watching the cricket when ian bell was run out on the tea break the other night! was having a beer with mates at the time who reminded me of the day the gorillas got Mick Menzies out timed out in the GF!
Anyone got any better than...
Weapo - Good get matty Woodhouse, probably one of the quckest left armers getting around! will terrorsie em' in A2's.. Be good to see the village people back in the A's..
Looks like the clubs back on track.. Good work!
Thanks boys.. Interesting, would have thought Sunshine YCW would have learnt there lesson first time around when they nearly folded as a result of being in that comp. As for heights, they must just love playing outside there local area..
Is there any news yet on new teams?? Sunshine Heights and Sunshine YCW were rumoured to be coming to WDCA, havent heard where its at.. be good for the comp if they do..
