How would they go with the current points system in place within the competition? It's not about just the 1s, you would want to ensure the 2's, 3s and 4s are competitive to justify to the subbies they would belong. The same goes for all new clubs that would come into the competition.

Will be interesting with respect to Donvale as they couldn't win the flag in second tier ECA. Their seconds won the GF but that was in D Turf They would have to recruit heavily to even contend in the subbies.

I have heard that Donvale will be entering the subbies next year.

It's quite amazing that only one east team finished in the top 8. I wonder if you could put that down to them having to play against the west this season and traveling every second week resulting in the loss of players before the season had started or even recruiting players for that matter...
