10,000 hours!?

Re: 10,000 hours!?

And remember:

"...and this is the underpinning principle of the LTAD approach which is based on scientific research that, it generally takes 8-12 years of training and preparation for a talented performer to reach the highest levels."

Notice the bit in bold ;)

That must be why I'm still practicing!

For those who can't spell... that was meant as a joke

Re: 10,000 hours!?

Liz is very right in higlighting 10000hrs theory is aimed at the high performer. But, in layman's terms, if you don't practise, you won't get better.

Re: 10,000 hours!?

Ali it is 10 years progrem to get into the elite level.
depends on What-When-how and by Whom you are trained up.
Which level you want to play?If you are not dreemed to play for
the top top,you dont need to think about it.
But who are dreemed, they must follow this
It's not just 10000 drils,might be more,more and more.
depends on your efenciency and how realistic you are?

• That’s a lot of practice To attain expert levels of skill:
• 10 Years of deliberate practice
• 10,000 practice hours
– (2.7 hours/day x 365 days)

thanks,enjoy

I disagree that it is aimed at the elite level. There are obvious time limitation issues for those non-professionals however, I believe LTAD and 10,000 hours is a system to allow ANYONE to meet their maximum genetic potential.

As you say, the more and better practice you do, the better you get. Whoever you are.
