2015/2016 D Grade And Below

Another hero has emerged.

Robert Fletcher from Epping made 122* out of 1/157 off 22 overs in G2 Grade. And he batted at 3, so presumably batted a few overs less than 22.

And Snelson from Monty racked up his 3rd ton of the year bullying some G graders. Lucky the ball didn't hit him in the head, he could have died!

What i don't get is why? Sure if you cant play both weeks, play in a lower grade, but surely going back to your mates saying i made a ton in 18 overs isn't rewarding. Why not make 50 and give some else at bat. Just saying.

Seems like some clubs are bolstering there lower grades at the expense of the higher grades. makes sense.

Massive from Monty B grade defending 110 and their ones giving their season a heartbeat!
This is D Grade and Below, not B Grade and Below.

PS. Should Barclay, Money and Mash players be allowed to play Vets?.

Clearly Lower Eltham have made all teams look poor, but actually they’d beat most Mash Teams in a one day game.

Today most Vets games were dominated by players from the Top Divisions. Is this in the spirit of the competition.

There are different grades in Vets.

The problem (if it is one) seems to be that Lower Eltham has recruited players from other clubs. Perhaps the solution (if one is required) is to prevent players having a different senior and vets club.

Those players who are vets for Lower might not have a vets team at their home to play in. One of our guys does the same; plays vets at Greensborough and seniors with us as we don't have a vets team at the moment.

People have short memories. Riverside dominated the vets comp for a number of years, now they don't and people don't like it. Best thing is about Riverside getting smashed - Joe Fleming in the losing side.

Couldn't happen to a worse bloke. Sucked in.

Still salty after being kicked out of the comp tongs

Mernda in F3 has given a few this season, but giving it to 4th spot in the last round pretty much ended any chance of 5th and 6th before a ball was bowled today, even though they were within striking distance.

Luke Morgan’s name is added to the wall of Bully Boy Shame. Barclay down to G2 and make 124 out of 156.

Just a crap. Retire after 50, and give someone else a go.

And he got none fa. There has to be a rule change though. Something like you can’t drop three or more grades at your club.

I have to disagree. He plays Barclay Shield as a bowler and bats 10 & 11.

His highest score in 9 years of Barclay Shield is 21 and he just made his first hundred in 13 years. Good on him I say.

Hardly qualifies as a bully.

Warwick,

But at 0 for 152, and chasing a low score, maybe retire a 50 and give someone else a go. Would have been a different scenario if they were 9 for 152.

Shouldn't be able to drop more than 2 grades without DVCA approval.

DC still win the award, when they could have played Harley Smith in their F1 team, but chose to play him in their F3 team. their F1 team lost on the day.

Why would he want to retire at 50? He's an A Grade bowler who rarely gets a hit. Here he has an opportunity to make a hundred, why wouldn't he bat on.
