Hi all

Just joined

I bowl leg spin for exercise mainly. I find it difficult to just run or work out. I need to be doing something meaningful to be able to stick at it. So i started trying to bowl leg spin against a wall a few years ago and I became totally addicted.

I'm thinking of trying to play at a very low level now. I'd have to say my bowling is fairly rubbish but maybe just good enough to get a game or two on the bottom rung of local cricket. I'm hoping this site will help me improve.

Join a local club, you will get free coaching and the chance to actually practice bowling in match situations.

Practising bowling without a batsman is like practising playing chess without an opponent. You're missing the main source of enjoyment.
 
I'm the same. I do a bit of bowling at work lunchtimes just to turn my arm over.

Worked fine to get accuracy for seam but I have needed to get a bag of balls for legspin. The progress is just too slow fetching the ball each time.
