City Of Moorabbin Cricket Association 2011/12

I'm sure Bunter will reveal a few recruits when his article hits the local paper.

Bottsy will confirm the Moorabbin West rumours which don't bode well for them - unless the kids can step up.
Still no word on the Aspendale recruits. Shane Deal is a definite non-starter for them with his brother leaving HW to join him at Delacombe Park this season.

C'mon U/M fill us all in on whats in that head/ ears of yours.. you seem to know who's going where most times??

I see our old friend has gone a bit quiet on the 'bashings' with his newly appointed role, will be interesting if he keeps up with his acid tongue pointed in a similar direction.. My feeling is he may be a bit more conservative, wouldnt want the word to get out hey ;))

Looks like being a strong Wooly comp this year with all these players returning to old clubs that are in the grade... Im thinking we may see some big scores posted if it drys out after Chrissy, ive some of the reported rumours of what $$ is changing hands.. surely these can't be true, where would clubs get that kinda cashola from??

Looks like the "Tal Mahal" at Centrals is nearly complete, just fitting the window (in house joke) as we speak.. wish they would get a move on tho, (memo to builders!!) we got some cards to be playing lads, oh yeah & some training as well..haha!

Surely the old BCF is due to fire up again now, as for the Beshara posts a few pages back.. Had a word with the lad, dont think he's playing CMCA but i will keep in his ear, I hear he goes ok, even if it was he who told me.. only joking Besh haha!

PS- I hear Ano is back in town from a few sources, is he the new John Farnham?

& for what it's worth if the Hawks get rolled in straight sets, you will see i have lodged a clearance for to Noosa CC, see you in 2013.... Even without the "Big Budwah' Surely not Hawks... Surely not !!

Not often we see it this early, Rockers. As mentioned on the old thread there is a bit to consider with the ground resurfacing and shifting of teams to accommodate this. My guess is they're probably not far off having it sorted.

The draw is out now.

The jungle drums are beating that Moorabbin West have poached a young opening batsmen from a rival club only a month out from the start of the season. Not naming names but...he played in last season's Grand Final. Watch this space

my mistake uncle, i was searching for the dates with the * next to them for the one day games.

Mr.Nervous, this wouldn't be the same "jungle drums"(brett) that had Travis Campbell heading to Moorabbin West last season is it?

I can't name my sources but all I can say is that this player is young and gritty something that the West's haven't had in a while. He was in the top ten run scorers in Woolnough last year and will be terrific for the West's

Hey all,

I was also wondering if any clubs (particularly Longmuir and Woolnough clubs) are thinking about jumping aboard Twitter this season?

ANA, Carnegie South, Elwood & Melbourne Wanderers are the only CMCA clubs (that I can find) that are on there at the moment.

For whatever you think of Twitter it's a great tool for communication and news and could be a great for the CMCA if more clubs get on board.
