End of season review!

Now that the season has finished it's a good time to have a little look back over the season and it's highs and lows.

I'll start this off with a list of who won what:

County Championship Div One Champions

Sussex

Relegated

Warwickshire and Worcestershire

Championship Div Two

Somserset (champions) and Nottinghamshire

Pro40 Division One Champions

Worcestershire

Relegated

Northamptonshire (after losing play-off), Warwickshire and Essex

Pro40 Division Two Promotions

Durham (champions), Somerset and Middlesex (after winning play-off)

Friends Provident Trophy

Durham

Twenty20 Cup

Kent

In upcoming posts, I'll start to have a look back at the season in a little more depth, starting with star performers!

Before I go into a bit of detail about my top players of the season, I thought I'd share the new 'MVP' rankings from PCA

As you can see the list is dominated by bowlers, with the highest ranked batsman Ramprakash.

Ottis Gibson continues his golden summer by finishing top, no doubt helped by taking 80 wickets in the county championship and almost 800 runs across all competitions.

Mustard is the top ranked keeper, and from an England perspective, we have to hope that he can maintain his form.
