KVT: "Not good enough"

QLD manager Kevin Van Twest today broke his silence in lieu of his sides dismal performance against New South Wales.

"We were terrible - simple as that. Firstly letting them make 587 on that wicket, and then failing to make them bat a second time. It was one of the worst performances I've ever been at the helm of."

He continued.

"Our top six reads Links, Glover, Royal, Dobson, Stevens and Gram. Other than Glover, all of them are over 25 years of age and are proven, quality players. I daresay we have one of if not the best batting line up in the competition. So to be rolled for 105 in our second innings to me is just inexcusable."

"I think complacency has set in, and an atittude of "Well if I don't make runs - the bloke who comes next will be good enough to do it". In a lot of ways we are victims of our own circumstance. Well I can say this right now - I don't think we are serious premiership contenders in the next one-two seasons, so theres no sense in having an ageing list."

"Players will be walking out the door comes seasons end..."
