We don't have to place a particular fielder as most of Ur fielder's are the same and it ends up in making our bowling figures look worse

Why not just tell the fielders to let the ball go for 4 if you want to keep the tail ender on strike. Its better than banking on your worst fielder to make a mistake and let him look like a fool. I did something like that to keep the worse batsman on strike when 17 runs were needed off the last over. I misfielded and let them run two. Well it wasnt intentional but I'll take the credit for it.

Of course you do not want the opposition to know you did it purposely because then they wouldn't sneak in the extra run.
