The issue of retirement.

It is true that Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly, and Rahul Dravid are seniors, in the Indian Team. What is special about them, is that when they entered the Indian Team, as players in the beginning of their international careers they were extremely low profile. In the case of Sachin Tendulkar, this was extremely meaningful, considering the praise he attracted from Mr Richie Benaud, and most particularly, from Mr Sunil Gavaskar. They just played for India. V V S Laxman is fortunate, that the praise he got, was only from those who know about cricket, and knew about cricket. They are invaluable to Indian Cricket, because of their approach to the game. Before these players entered the scene, expectations from Indian Cricketers, were comparatively, less sky high. Now Yuvraj Singh is expected to have the experience of the big four, and expected to be equal in playing ability and stature, to the mentioned players. I believe We have some great cricketers. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina, and quite a number. If cricket is important to us, we must let the game be played, and not let our expectations run riot on us, and the players. India needs the experience of the big four. I believe, that when they are playing, then the others have less pressure on them. The youngsters must be rotated with the big four, and one, or more of the big four might be rested, during any international match.
