The older simplycricket style if possible. It was very nice to the eyes.

Actually how about not showing the newsbot's pickups as new posts- that way you won't lose the actual posts in amongst the newsbot's posts!

The threads posted by Auto RSS Poster bot looks really weird. All threads in same row with only 1 or 2 views.

I'm not sure - something like simplycricket or the old harrowdrive forum. This just seems too big? On the other forums it felt more personal, you'd post stuff and people would respond to your posts in a very positive manner. In a way I kind of expected that because this was such an enormous forum there'd be more people responding, but looking back now it's obvious that in the other forums it must have been the case that I was a biggish fish in a small pond and as I posted so frequently it was possibly the case that the administrators who are obviously experienced cricketers were obligated to comment with regards my posting as maybe I was one of the more frequent to do so? It seems there's a lot of activity on this forum with regards commenting on international level cricket and maybe the adminstrators are far more at home discussing that rather than helping out newbies like myself? Maybe the theory was because the membership was so big - other people would join in and the administrators would then be able to discuss the topics that they're more interested in and people like me would be able to talk about club level cricket with club level players? This doesn't seem to have happened. I now feel like a tiny fish in an ocean with three mates going round in circles talking about the same thing sort of suspicious that all the people with the know how are several seas away talking about stuff that they see as being really important?

Apologies for the late reply to this but I'm still playing catch up. I'll try to respond to you all, starting with the design.

SimplyCricket was simplycricket, BigCricket is BigCricket, hence the design changes. I'm afraid that the current design stays in terms of colours but I can promise that the layout of the front page will be changing very shortly.

Arshad - what would you like to see in terms of design? All ideas are welcome as we're always keen to improve the site.

Newsbot: I take you points and will look at other ways of presenting the news it brings in.

Spam Threads: Always a talking point and a bit like marmite, you either love them or hate them. For the time being they stay but will be reviewed at various points, If you have suggestions as to what you'd like to see there instead then let me know.

Dave: I fully understand where you're coming from. The board is a little spread out and as a consequence things tend to get passed over, especially the coaching areas. At the moment, it's all a bit of a balancing act, the main driving force of the site is the club cricket areas although we are trying to address that and open the site up. It will take time as it's a change that has to come not only from the admin\mod team but also from new and in some cases existing users.

We will be pushing the coaching areas as we will also be pushing the international and regional areas. The aim is too have a broader range of members from the whole cricketing spectrum. Keep checking in and hopefully you'll see the changes starting to happen.
