Re: Kingston Kings Team Thread
I swear we had that Grand Final in the bag mid-way through our innings - bloody shame to watch it slip from our grasp.
The Indian's will be furious.
Time to regroup with a month long bender...
However, I suppose I will have to make this unfortunate announcement sooner or later, so I'll inform you now.
While the Kings have been spectacular to me in my time at Sabina Park, the new franchise demands experience from this competition to prop it up in its infancy. I have been leading a recruiting drive for the fifth team to enable its viability for the last month or so as I believed that I had access to an untapped resource (various parts of BigFooty) that could comprise a strong posting line-up on this site - giving both BigCricket and this competition a push in the right direction.
As I was pulling the strings behind the recruitment, I began to realize that without anybody from this competition, the new team would be finding its feet for too long, so I decided that I would take it upon myself to join the new team as well as luring the experience of Chittagong's future captain (as yet unnamed).
As bizarre and nerdy as it may sound, I do take loyalty seriously, even when it comes to fantasy sports. Rest assured it was a difficult decision to make and if Chittagong aren't winning flags, then I'll always be backing you boys (and girl) up. You're a terrific mob and I’ll always consider myself one of you, even if that feeling is not reciprocated.
I will anticipate the curvy sledges I'm sure you will throw at me, and would have thoroughly enjoyed playing season 2 with you blokes (and lass) if I wasn’t under these set of circumstances. There are several posters here that can fill the captaincy void that Frodo is unfortunately leaving, and that says volumes about the posters running around our Jamaican hideaway. I also thank Frodo for his offer but I have had to refuse it under two premises, first is the Chittagong commitment which I now have a responsibility to, and secondly the fact that with one season here and one season at BigFooty, I don’t think I’m experienced enough to exploit various loopholes in the sim and therefore wouldn’t feel comfortable leading you on my own – however, I did consider it deeply as anything Frodo asks must be strongly considered.
I’m essentially making this long-winded post to ensure that you realize that I’m leaving Kingston with a heavy heart. I’m also not posting it on the main board in order that my move is as low-key as possible and makes it as easy as possible for the Kings to move on. I hope to be back one day.
Thanks guys and may the Wizards, Nuggets and particularly those ****ers from Madrid never win again.

Mmm... well if you gave us a shout I would happily provide you with something more to your pleasure D.K - I'm here to please.
Name a strapping young lass and I'll whirl it up for you - final gift to the Kings.
