Bat Brands.
The first image I held of cricket, was Mr Sunil Gavaskar, executing a drive, with a Duncan Fearnley cricket bat. The Duncan Fearnley bat, has had a mesmerizing effect ever since. I was equally impressed with the Gray Nicholas bats, because the Australian players, only played with those bats, it seemed to me. I believe Gunn and Moore was preferred in New Zealand, by their international players. I remember their use during the first series I watched India play there. There are many good bat brands in India, too, and they are numerous.

Got a Gray Nichols right now, had it for about three or four years at the moment. The bat before that was a County which had an awesome middle, loved that bat but got too tall for it. Had a Gunn and Moore before that and my very first bat was a Stuart Surridge.

Re: Bat Brands.
Nowdays don't most of the Australian players get custom bats from the small companies and just put other brand's stickers on them?

Re: Bat Brands.
I've played with many bats over the years, I was lucky enough to receive a county sponsorship when I was a junior and found their bats to be fantastic. Right now though the only bat for me is the MRF wizard 400 modelled around B Lara. I have 2 of them and they are possibly the best bats I have ever played with. Their balance is superb and they are traditionally made as a lighter weight then alot of the other bats coming out of India these days. I would love to get a hold of one of the bats Lara was supplied with, because if the bats I have are brilliant his must be to die for.

Re: Bat Brands.
I have 5 bats, a Slazenger V900, a Duncan Fearnley Power, a Gray Nicholls Razor 500, a Puma Gilchrist and an MRF Wizard 400 XLE. My favourite is the V900 but I can't play with it cause Pup Clarke has signed it all the way down the meat, beautiful bat though that one. I play in matches with the Gilchrist.

Haha no this is not the case. Im pretty sure all of the brands that are paying players to use there brand have enough money to make them the best bats going around.

Many professional players get hand made bats to their specs and put the stickers of their sponsor on them. It is quite common within State and International cricket. I am not sure what makes you think this doesn't happen, but, it certainly does.
