It is a huge reality check for the team. They have never gone through losing a series for ages.
Have to get Marsh in, bloke is a awesome bat. We are just wasting our time with Katich.

Western Australian batsman Shaun Marsh will fly across to India as a replacement for the injured Phil Jaques. The call comes as Jaques was ruled out of the entire tour due to an ongoing back complaint which forced the New South Welshman to return home.

Marsh was the leading run scorer in the Indian Premier League held earlier this year and also played eight one-day games for Australia against West Indies and Bangladesh.

Marsh to replace injured Jaques

Yes!! Marshy!!

Well done Shaun, well deserved. Probably won't play on the tour but it shows he is still very much in the minds of the selectors. His one-day and IPL form has certainly helped his cause.

Shouldn't be too much longer before Marsh is opening the batting in a test for Australia.

I still think that they should put watson at the top of the order. I think that he is more of a batting all rounder than a bowling all rounder.
I don't think Shaun Marsh is ready for the test side. ODI's yes but tests no.

I think that the selectors should have picked Andrew Symonds. They are being rather unfair on him.

Symonds is being disciplined for his actions. He should have went to that training despite it being an "optional" one.

Symonds isn't an opening batsman either. If he were to go over, he'd replace Watson.

If you don't try him, then you'll never know. He may surprise everybody (one way or the other).
