Krezja.

Hopefully McGain is fit for the second test.

Australians aren't doing too well. Can't read much into the practice game though. It's just to help them acclimatise to the conditions. Better to fail in a practice game than in the games that matter.

McGain has been sent home now, which I assume means he won't be fit for any of the tests. Big pressure on Krezja, you never know though - it might be the making of him.

The Indian President's board was bowled out for 455, Patel managed to make 50 and went on to score 62 before being bowled by Peter Siddle. Irfan Pathan continued Australia's frustration by also getting past 50, he made 56 with Siddle again involved in the dismissal, taking the catch to give Stuart Clark his second. Clark and Johnson added to their wicket tallies again. Johnson was Australia's best bowler with 4/72 while Clark claimed 3/67.

Australia's start was ordinary with Hayden and then Katich making starts but not going on with it. Hayden fell for 20 and Katich 15 as Australia slipped to 2/54. That became 3/91 when Ponting by bowled by Piyush Chawla for 41 and became even worse still when Michael Clarke fell the same way, bowled by Chawla for 18 as Australia slipped to 4/123. However, Michael Hussey and Brad Haddin lead a mini fightback and Australia are 4/191 at stumps, Hussey is up to 53 and haddin is on 34.

A lot of work for Australia to do tomorrow, Hussey and Haddin would have to score centuries if Australia want to stave off a big first innings deficit. The tail too will need to score some runs in support.

Mike Hussey batted very well for 126* to give Australia a modest total of 314.

In reply so fay IBP XI are currently 2/39, 180 runs in front.

Sporting declaration perhaps?

India batting really well, pushing their overall lead up to 236.

Draw is on the cards, as they usually are in these tour matches.

I really like Cameron White, he has plenty of potential as an explosive ODI batsmen and is very good in the field. But Test Matches? Bowling?

What am I missing?
