Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat
I've just gotten a message from my opponent in my FC match and he has to rest players this week due to pfl issues. I was going to play a weakened squad as well but since I'll have 3 front line bowlers going and my best batsmen in (so not that weak ) I should win easily. However, he told me it'll be a different story when we meet again after the BT20 break, which is fine because all my first teamers will be back to sublime by then because I really don't care about BT20.

Getting mauled in my first match, All out for 125 and the opposition are 2/227 in reply, I had a better team than them too! What went wrong?

For the moment keep but look to replace them with better players. I'd start looking for players with at least a competent rating or better still respectable. Maybe look for 2 batsman, 1 W/K Bat and 2 bowlers, if they are 17 then that's ideal.
For example this player was on the market, listed at £0, probably won't go for much more than £10,000. Though his stamina is low, it's not the end of the world as you can often get away with it in the lower divisions. Give him 1xStamina net and 2xBatting (swapping the stamina for a fielding net once he reached Proficient stamina) and you'd have a player worth maybe £4 million by the end of your 3rd season.
Code:
Deepak Masibulele
BT Rating: 2,899
Age: 17 years old
Stamina: woeful
W/Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent
Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: woeful
Consistency: worthless
Fielding: woeful
Don't go overboard though as Battrick is a slow burning game and it'll take you a few seasons to get a decent team but you should be able to become competitive in the lowest division without too much trouble.
A bit of time spent on the transfer market can reap massive rewards but do your research.

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat
I went 7-0 in the BT20
Most of my best players stamina is comp+ so they are still at sublime
This is my 3rd full season and i've decided an even spread of players is better than 1 or 2 superstars. I've got 7 players between 10k and 17k ratings, all bar 1 are 19yo or younger.

I lost one BT20 match and if you look at the ratings it makes no sense

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat
Don't you hate it when you have a home FC match against a bot... then you lose the toss and have to bowl first. It makes it a real challenge to get gate receipts for all 3 days.
