Re: West Indies in New Zealand
4th ODI - New Zealand vs West Indies at Eden Park, Auckland
New Zealand scored 4/275 from their 50 overs with debutant Martin Guptill making a century on debut. He is only the 5th player to do so in the history of ODI cricket. He finished on 122 not out with Ross Taylor making 75. Brendon McCullum scored 26 opening the innings and Neil Broom lifted NZ at the death with a quickfire 24 not out and is the other Kiwi on debut.
Lionel Baker was the standout for the Windies, taking 2/29 from ten overs including one maiden. A brilliant effort with the ball there. Fidel Edwards and Daren Powell got a wicket each but proved to be expensive.
In reply, West Indies are 0/36 from seven overs. They started slowly but Chris Gayle has started to tee off and has 32 from 29 balls, Sewnarine Chattergoon is on 3. Last 20 balls has seen Gayle score 31 runs.

Re: West Indies in New Zealand
Raining quite hard at the moment, West Indies were 0/47 from 8.4 overs before the rain came. It's been raining for about 30 mins so we'll see a reduction in overs. The rain doesn't look like clearing up anytime soon though.

Re: West Indies in New Zealand
Back on the field now. Game will be a 40-over match, the Windies target is now 235 from 40 overs.
0/53 from 9.5 overs, this is sure to be a cracking match. Gayle 35, Chattergoon 17.

Re: West Indies in New Zealand
And we're off again. Southee came into the attack and was dispatched for a four and a six before the rain came once more.
0/64 from 10.3 overs, Gayle on 46, Chattergoon 17.
These rain delays can only help the Windies as the target revision won't be as severe due to having all ten wickets in hand. They'd want the rain to stop soon though as they are in a good position to win the match.

Re: West Indies in New Zealand
Match Abandoned. A shame because this was shaping up to be an excellent encounter.
Four match series is still tied at 1-1. The final game of the series is on Tuesday.

Re: West Indies in New Zealand
NZ need to build a stadium with a bloody roof, just about every game is rain affected.

Re: West Indies in New Zealand
That's really disappointing.
Sets up game five for a thriller though. The winner of that game will win the series.

Re: West Indies in New Zealand
The 5th One Dayer that will decide the series is on today.
New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl.
The West Indies are 2/73 off 17 overs. Gayle is on 48 off 53 and Chandepaul is yet to face a ball.
Chattergoon was bowled early by Mills for 1 and Gillespie got Sarwan hooking for 22.
The winner of this match will win the series.

Re: West Indies in New Zealand
This is the best partnership i've seen in a long time.
Chanderpaul just reverse swept for 6.
West Indies are 3/243 off 43 overs.
Gayle was just dismissed for 135 off 128 and Chanderpaul is on 81 off 81.
The partnership between Gayle and Chanderpaul was worth 170 runs at 6.45 RPO.
