Nah, definately Dhoni. No-one has gotten close to him all year.

He's a good cricketer, but has not had a better year than and isn't better than Dhoni.

As i have not seen any 1 dayers this year i will do my team over the last couple of seasons.

1. C. Gayle
2. V. Sehwag
3. R. Ponting (C)
4. K. Pieterson
5. A. Symonds
6. A. Flintoff
7. M. Dhoni +
8. C. Vaas
9. B. Lee
10. N. Bracken
11. M. Muralithrian

The strike power of 1-7 is unreal. Ponting is probaly the slowest batsmen in the top 7 and his strike rate in ODI's would be up near 80. Gayle, Sehwag, Pieterson, Symonds, Flintoff and Dhoni would all have strike rates of up to and in some cases surpassing 90. Frighening batting line up. Even Vaas and Lee are handy big hitters lower in the order. Bracken and Lee to take the new ball with both of them averaging low 20's with the ball in ODI's. Vaas to bowl first change. Flintoff and Murali there as well. Along with Symonds, Gayle and Sehwag there to roll the arm over if required.

If i had to have a team playing for my life in ODI's this would be it.

King Pietersen is on a distinguished road
Default Re: My ODI World XI

Virender Sehwag
Brendan McCullum
Shiv Chanderpaul
Kevin Pietersen
Michael Hussey
MS Dhoni
Andrew Flintoff
Stuart Broad
Zaheer Khan
Nathan Bracken
Ajantha Mendis

I wanted both McCullum and Dhoni in the team, as they're both class batsmen, so it's upto them who keeps, I'd probably go with Dhoni though as McCullum's very handy in the outfield. Happy with that side.

CHRIS GAYLE
VIRENDER SEHWAG
MS DHONI
KEVIN PIETERSEN
YUVRAJ SINGH
MICHAEL CLARKE
ANDREW FLINTOFF
DANIEL VETTORI
DALE STEYN
NATHAN BRACKEN
ZAHEER KHAN

id have steyn n bracken take the new ball but bracken only have 3 overs then give it to zaheer coz bracken is good for late in the innings id then bowl flintoff to replace steyn after six n then vettori at either end n maybe have eitther gayle clarke or sehwag roll the arm over with a few offies to chew up the overs but the obnly problem with that is it takes overs of ur main five bowlers id take it off flintoff n vettori as i feel steyn bracken n zaheer can do i lot of damage as a fast bowling trio

Have you actually see Steyn's record in ODi's? I think people just pick him because he's great in Tests, but his ODi record is awful. Stuart Broad's a far better new ball bowler in ODi's.

Here is my ODI XI -

1. V.Sehwag
2. C.Gayle
3. G.Gambhir
4. M.Hussey
5. Y.Singh
6. MS Dhoni*
7. A.Flintoff
8. M.Johnson
9. D.Steyn
10 Z.Khan
11. Murlitharan

The top order has the mix of caution and aggression. Hussey is quite consistent. The duo of Yuvraj and Dhoni can be destructive for opposition. Freddie, as we all know is one of the best all rounder in the world. Johnson, Steyn and Khan have been very consistent with the bowl. And of course, there was the need for a spinner, so I guess no one can be better than Murli to do it.
