Default Adidas Cricket Kit

Anyone got any thoughts on the adidas cricket kit?

I'm really in two minds over whether I like it or not. I guess I kinda think the colours are ok and it looks decent enough but something about just doesn't seem right.

For example:

They seem almost like goal keeping gloves to me and I'm sure I've got a pair lying around pretty similar. Really not sure at the moment.

It could be that - it does seem a little strange to have adidas branded cricket kit.

I do!

Pads - Serious Cricket > Adidas Batting Pads from Serious Cricket
Bats - Serious Cricket > Adidas Cricket Bats from Serious Cricket
General stuff - Serious Cricket > Adidas Cricket from Serious Cricket

I will say now that I do like the pads and the bats seem ok, in particular the Incurza range. I've been trying to decide whether to go for Adidas kit or stick with the more conventional Puma or Grey Nicholls. Decisions, decisions!

I have a policy of not buying bats with stupid names, so my next bat will definitely not be an Adidas 'Libro' 'Pellara' or 'Incurza'.

Overall I'm not a huge fan of the whole 'astronaut' look, It's a bit much for me. I can see Pietersen being a fan of his new sponsors gear though.

From what I've been told Pietersen isn't a fan of the gloves and the Adidas bat he uses isn't made by SG either like the shop bats.

I find it interesting that no one here has mentioned that Ian Bell uses these. I must be honest in when I use to buy equipment I use to look for a local manufacturer and buy their bats and bought pads and the like from a brand that has been around a long time ..
