Going to be a big game for the parky boys! One thing we have this year is good depth so we will make a good account of ourselves
 
Great ton from fill-in specialist John Bott yesterday! Played a great rescue knock and showed a few young punks how to graft a knock for your team. On another note Cheltenham Firsts played the game in a hard nosed competitive way without once sledging unduly, and represented their club with great style. Their supporters were great and all of them purchased beer from the Parkdale canteen, so earlier reports were definitely either overstated or not regular occurrences, on yesterday's form.

That's the man, took him about 60 runs to knock the rust off by his own admission, but he's up there with the best of them when he kicks on. Looks like Daykin got settled in the weekend also, lot of good bats across the teams in the South.

Just let me go back to your earlier post regarding parky failing in the semi final.... Your from bonbeach tangy you haven't won a game yet and your talking about something that is about 4 months away and at this rate likely your not even going to make it! Enjoy sth A next year
 
Lets hand Parkdale the flag now... With the best bowling attack in the VTCA, surely they can't lose?
Redefine i think you're getting well and truely ahead of yourself. You'd think you would have learnt your leason about talking it up to early in the season from the Semi-Final results the last 2 years. Losing to 2 teams in games you were 'expected' to win.
You've certainly thrown away any chance of a Team underestimating Parkdale's side.
No one would have expected Hampton and Bonbeach to win the Semi Finals last year in South A. Finals is a complete different game and your already comparing your team to the Senior Clubs.
Despite being written off earlier in the season (by myself as well in an earlier post), Chelsea look like they are very capable of causing an upset this season. With Ben Phillips coming back across from England for next round i believe and the other players they've recruited, it should make them very competitive in the top 4.

How's everyone enjoying playing at Bonny this season? heard nothing but moaning so far...
 
The Tang were always going to struggle in South as have the other promoted teams except for Parkdale. Parkdale are a decent team but still think Port has got them covered.Moorabbin Park might have been a better option to come up than the Tang, Murrumbeena or Hampton. Good effort by Parky to make 244 with a few "superstars" absent. Still might not be enough though with a weakened bowling line up. Think the 4 will be Port, Mentone, Parkdale, Chelsea, bottom 2 for relegation could be Hampton and Bon Beach last years grand finalist, although if either of those teams beat the Beena then could be Murrumbeena. They literally have one decent player.

I doubt port will make the top 4. They rely too heavily on Dakin. W proved if you get a couple of early ones there isnt a lot left. We would have beaten them if it wasn't for the weather and then people would be saying aren't bonny doing well...
