I think Plenty Valley, Caulfield and Ormond will be sides to beat I the South North group, Werribee will win the other.

I do agree that Werribee look the goods in the East/West group. I am very intrigued as to why Travaglia and Pinwill played in the 2nd's on the weekend, can anyone shed any light?
If they had to leave early they couldn't have chosen a more remote location than Maccy Park. And the 1's defeated Melton without them--impressive.wowee thats an interesting one? Maybe they had to go to a wedding or something and leave early?
Would have thought the deck would be better on Sunday than Saturday, was certainly the case at Coburg, although the Burgers were batting.RPBroady's dismissal for 45 on Sunday at Dempster Park could have you thinking it was on a sticky. Didn't appear to play that way when I called in to have a look -- more to do with accurate persistant bowling by Khan and Ughriadar downwind and 'Capper' keeping it tight upwind. Looks like Sunshine have covered Webby's loss with the ball at least. Dempster often a graveyard for Broady and the loss has, I think, caused it to drop 3 places in the ladder.

After a majority of games getting on this past weekend, the next question is why were 3rd and 4th XI games cancelled? I know our ground could have played, as could have Kews. If we encourage clubs to get covers for their second ground, why should these teams miss out on a possible game. Needs to be one in all in.

So would Lloyd(Sunshine) and Skinner Reserves (Yarraville) despite neither ground having covers. Perhaps, when only late-in the-week preparation is possible, the comp. exec. wishes the curators to give their priority to getting the main ground pitch playable. Not a problem at the above clubs, however, as there are separate club-appointed curators for each ground. The Yarraville players call Skinner Reserve 'The Bronx' and the incidence of property theft, vandalism and arson in the locality is a problem. For this reason, the club is reluctant to cover the pitch. Fortunately, Yarraville 3rds and 4ths will shortly be relocated to a new facility much nearer the main oval.
Interesting get. Who at Noble is the contact there?Black Rock is not the Bronx but covers would be at high risk. Looking forward to seeing James Miller as a guest for Noble Park. Why do we still have guest players ? Should only be players who have played for the club.
