As easy as it would be to jump on the bandwagon and a bag Riverside for getting relegated, I think Epping should be forced to play a second eleven in 2 day cricket. If they can’t commit then they should be relegated. It’s a joke that their seconds are playing G2 one day comp. Not even G1!🤦🏻

Yes I heard that with Epping. Would have thought it should be a requirement to play the top grade with at least a team D grade or above. Perhaps we will head down the track of D grade and above being 2 day cricket and everything else one day, sooner rather than later.

Not at the moment but there are a few clubs I’ve heard of that are struggling numbers wise who will be having some preemptive discussions about their futures.

I think one of those clubs may be fighting more than relegation!

Just reading these posts and it highlights to me that cricket at a local level needs a drastic re think. We (Research Eltham) had 25+ unavailable for 2 day sides because of a weddings and bucks turns that take players away for 1 week. There hasn’t been a game occurring without a similar issue...

You’d like to think that if the comp is forking out 10’s of 1000’s for admin assistance, then it would happen pretty quickly. Doesn’t help club when you are trying to plan match day events and social calendars with no knowledge of what dates you can work with!
