Re: Cricsim league?
I would want to set up the entire league on my own but unfortunately I have time issues. But as I said, I'm willing to help out, kinda like a guiding hand to someone who wants to step up to the job. I'd be willing to go on my own in the initial stages though.
The...
Re: Cricsim league?
Shame, I really enjoyed my time here. If you want I can help in setting up a new league. You can start with a small T20 comp just to get things organised and stuff, and you can use my T20 simulator for that.
Cricsim league?
Hello,
I've just come back to the site, after what, like 2 months, and I just noticed, there's no Fantasy Cricket league anymore? Or is it just me being stupid and not noticing? It was a great league and I'd really like to see it back

Re: Season Three Squads
Oh for a moment I thought I was still in the Madrid squad :p Which would suit of course, seeing as I should return in a month or so...
Re: Competition audit/discussion
I think that is the answer we were looking for. I'm ashamed it didn't strike my mind before! :p
But of course. The 32-bit version supports 16-bit applications to an extent, but the 64-bit version does away with all 16-bit emulation. Cricksim is 16-bit I think.
Re: Competition audit/discussion
I know, but its very problematic to stick to a schedule throughout the season without missing anything, considering the fact that "people have lives outside" and of course unless its a full time paid job.
Re: Competition audit/discussion
Yeah that is good, if it is fine with the simmers. But they'll need to be sure of a pretty good amount of time, like say 3 weeks, to commit to simming.
On the other hand, in the 1 test 1 OD system, if someone is out, we can sim another test match till he's back...
Re: Competition audit/discussion
I'm confused here. What does this mean?
Also, with multiple simmers, it can go like this.
Option no. 1 - Have two simmers, one for OD's and one for Tests. Both can have their own seperate copies, to rule out the sim changing character thing. And for the rest...
Re: Competition audit/discussion
In regards to season length, I think the old model can be pretty good, especially if you're using T20 in between the season (Not sure if that's the best idea).
Mon - Fri - Test Matches
T20 threads go up on Thursday
OD threads go up on Friday
T20 match...
Re: Competition audit/discussion
Don't really know what is used in QuickBasic so I have no idea how the random function in it works. Will find out and let everyone know. But sometimes those kind of upsets do really happen.
Anyways, in CS09 I've made it a random number generator definitely. :D...
Re: Competition audit/discussion
I've always said before, multiple simmers IS the way to go. The only problem that does come up there is the management and storage of stats. One way to do it, is of course, pass around the sim after every round, but in a smart way. I did that with Mousey...
Re: Cricket Sim 09 - The New T20 Simulator
No sorry, it is a closed source application as of yet. :)
A game? No mate, it is a simulator, and it shall always remain one! :) There will be improvements of course, for example a GUI or 50 over / FC engines, but that is all for next year when...
