My understanding was that Seddon checked with the VTCA as to how to proceed upon realizing the decks were different only to be told that they must play. I can't see how the VTCA could then suggest 'oh well you chose to play on the different deck, so you lose'.

It stands to reason. If you are playing away might be worth getting someone to the ground on the Friday of week 2 to 'check' on things....
If we have to wait much longer for these decisions to be finalised finals might take place in May
