Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
Winter Reserve track not playable last Sunday for GCA2 match Waurn Ponds v Murghe. Not sure whether it was even covered once rain started falling Saturday afternoon during East Belmont v Leopold. Should GCA sanction them?!?!?
Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
They will go absolutely feral if it is them again. No shrinking violets at Mano:)
The rolling average points on the GCA Pennant webpage is an interesting read. Gives Newtown a good safety margin even though they're at the wrong end of this season's club...

Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
They should be OK, just. I'd imagine they'll score at least the same in the off-field areas to Bell Park and do marginally better in the points derived from the club championship. Unless Bell Park can pull a few back in their games against Torquay and...

Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
Depends on whether the 3-year rolling-average applies to the movement between GCA2 and GCA3. When the GCA brought in the assessment system, there was no GCA3 so don't know if it applies or whether they will go by assessment points for just 2009/10 only.
If...

Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
The interesting one in GCA2 was Guild over Torquay. Even at Xmas Guild were tipped to not make it but keep winning and now have a finals berth stiched up. Torquay on the other hand looked the goods until Xmas but haven't won since. Yes Thomson's odds keep...

Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
Sadly for Moonee Valley, he would not need a clearance to go to Lara. Locally, clearances are only required from other clubs within the Barwon Region, which now is just GCA, BPCA and Colac. If he was under suspension, that's another story.....

Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
I thought it was one of the O'Toole's who fixed up Jammo, after a GCA presentation night at Buckleys one year. Unless Jammo has been decked more than once.....
Roachy started his illustrious Geelong cricket career at Bell Park in 89/90 so with at least 8...

Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
Obviously a chance, but I'd have thought more likely to miss than not. AT, Guild & Highton still better prospects. Greenwood has been a very good pickup but needs more support and the batting is still very iffy.
Mind you, was fairly impressed when...

Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
Seemed like it must've rained all week, based on most GCA2 scores yesterday.
St Peter's all out 95 but then rolled Marshall for 77.
NDSC 72 and Highton only 101 in reply.
Murghe 120, North Shore 3/22.
Bell Park all out 88 (maybe not such a surprise).

I'll second that. Very funny man and great servant of SPCC for a very long time now. If Hodgey can massacre his body like he has and still be playing in his 60's, there's hope for every one of us.
