    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I’m a right arm offie so I’d use the some rough as you [emoji16]. Although I’m also usually on synthetic too haha. I can usually pick pretty fast whether a batsman prefers the ball pitching outside off or on their stumps and I’ll either bowl over (around for you) or around the wicket (over for...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I could see 2 scenarios where you’d bowl left arm leggies around the wicket to a right hander: 1. There’s a big patch of rough well outside the right handers off stump that you could hit. Or just a shit spot on the pitch 2. The batsman is very comfortable working you off of his legs. Going...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I’d call that the holy grail of spin in general to be honest. I’ve been working hard on being able to bowl my off-spin at a good pace while being able to keep some topspin on the ball. I’m getting a lot better at it through practice thankfully because I’m getting a lot of chances to bowl on...

Made another 38(32) yesterday. Was batting well but just could not middle the ball at all. The guy at the other end is class and made 70(50) so I was doing well keeping him on strike while ticking the scoreboard along. I think I need to start training my bottom hand out of my batting a bit...

Cheers, I often do but if I’m opening the batting the skipper gives someone else some overs which I’m fine with. Yeah I was about to launch the ball at the stumps for the run out but the batsman was just standing halfway down the pitch so I had to check the throw a bit [emoji23]

You’ll be pleased to hear that I just had an absolutely atrocious pregame net session with the bat. I think I’ve figured it out though. We’re bowling first.

That’s true, although he’s quite aggressive, so like Head he might still be fine. I honestly think good temperament and judgement is worth more than a perfect technique. We could use an aggressive opener with Uz. He’s been doing it on spicy Hobart pitches so he’s doing something right.

If Weatherald doesn’t have an awful start to the shield I reckon he’s a good chance for an Ashes debut

I believe CA has them in a strength and conditioning course. This series was more to find openers, which is a bit shit because the pitches have been roads.

Starc beat the inside edge on I think every ball that over, just needs to hit the stumps

Only just starting watching the last 30 minutes, 60 overs in and it’s still hopping around corners. Makes Smith and Green’s innings very impressive.

Still winter T20s. Mostly been focusing on batting but bowl an over here or there. I find it hard to bowl spin in a lot of the games because the ball gets wet and slippery. Game 2 weeks ago I bowled the last over of the innings against a very good batsman that plays for my summer club. I only...

Yeah Smith just looked completely class. Green was very gritty, left well and put away the cover drive for a bit after it almost got him in trouble. He got the return for it by making a 50 and also faced the 2nd most balls of any innings this series (123) behind Khawaja in the first innings of...
