Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Three)
yeah warnies spell the other day was absolute magic still can't believe they won that probablly the best t20 i've seen, shows how good a captain he is to motivate the players in situations and how cricket savvy he is with the ball in his hand or as captain.

Re: Most over-rated bowled in the world.....
most overrated bowler in the world playing international cricket has to be ishant sharma, the guy is awful he was good when he came onto the world stage but has since lost alot of his pace and his accuracy is awful.
if we stick to overated...
Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Three)
yeah chawla was in the india team when he first came onto their domestic scene though he didn't have much success and is only now getting back near the international team again.
He's not a bad leggie but doesn't turn it much and still bowls to many googlies...
no balls height
just wondering if anyone can confirm what the actually rules for no ball over a certain height. I was under the impression that for a fast bowler it was no balls for full tosses above waist high and spin/slow bowlers it was shoulder height.
A couple of the guys at my club...
Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Three)
nice work dave, hopefully you can pick up some good tips, wish i had the money for it will probablly have to wait till next year.
Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Three)
yeah that boyce lad looks pretty decent; action reminds me a lot of macgill, his seam position isn't good though, though it shows how much he spins it as he is getting good turn even with really scrambled balls, didn't seem to have any variation other than...
Re: gundalf's cricket blog
our club doesn't really have a coach as such more really just the old club guys just give tips to the young lads. At uni though we have a few lads that are qualified coaches so i can ask them definitely.
As regards the bat i just use a standard short handle bat...
Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Three)
yeah it would make a huge difference if you have a good keeper, my club keeper is probablly worse than average and won't even keep in the nets at all and doesn't even bother to bring his keeping gear which gives an idea of how commited he is. If i had the...
Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Three)
yeah i really like cremer, its a good series at the moment very closely fought, and interesting watching tactics of the bowlers, cremer today bowled beautifully to pollard who came down the wicket and hit him for a huge six, and he tried to do it again and...
Re: gundalf's cricket blog
yeah i'm trying to get the bending knees reduced a bit or at least do it before the bowlers gets into the delivery stride, the main problem is i've always tapped the bat on the ground before the bowlers bowls but i hold the bat so low it won't actually touch the...
Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Three)
Another interesting thing in the zimbabwe odi today, a wrist spinner who can only bowl googlies a true googly bowler in the modern game, shows that losing the leg break can also happen at the top levels.
the guys name btw is timycen maruma.
Re: gundalf's cricket blog
yeah just fixed it damn spelling :p,yeah you should have a go with the bat on vid too helped me see alot of what was wrong and why i was getting bowled.
Re: Wrist Spin Bowling (Part Three)
yeah top spin wil definitely help you get the dip i'd practice bowling different flights if i were you just to get used to doing it in the off season as the control of flight allows you to tease the batsmen alot especially if your accurate.
Also just...
