Was at Yulong today (Bund v Plenty) - was very wet under foot and pretty soft in patches. About an inch of water surrounding the pitch and infield.
Any more rain before Saturday and in trouble there...
Any word on other grounds...?
Yep correct Tongs. Was the 'Terry Keays' rule.
When he played at bundoora back in his prime, pulled out of A grade with a leg injury. Ending up being a late inclusion & playing in D grade to make up numbers. Bowled off 3 steps and absolutely terrified some blokes. Also made 60 odd too i...
Big call on those 2 to play off. if ladder stays the same, they play each other in semi. Chance (although slim) that both may still miss out altogether.
The Barclay comp is pretty even with the top 5-6 all capable. I am of course backing our boys to win (Bundoora).
Money Shield - again...
Tony, the proposal as I remember it was sent out to the clubs to comment on. I responded to you (the committee) with my thoughts. Hardly think i bagged the crap out of the proposal. I offered my thoughts, for your review - on how I saw the comp should be structured. You requested feedback...
Not that we need to justify shite comments from Thomo United, but the 4ths were hit hard by injuries (up the grades) Saturday morning leaving only the bare 7 players, 3 of which are young juniors. Ok yes we had 7 to start but not fair to play with 7 in 37 deg heat - given 3 or 4 were kids trying...
Thanks for the compliment. yes boys going well at present, but the comp is pretty even and anyone of the top five can knock anyone off on the day. Just seeing Research drop from top to 5th in 2 games, and conversely Riverside 6th to 2nd is testament to that. We will be just glad to get a home...
Yep ok, agreed i have done the same at times this year. It is not ideal but he is doing nearly all of it on his own.
Were your questions for him at all relevant to warrant a response...?
Do you own a rule book? Call someone else on the Exec and see if you get a better response.
We need to be...
My thoughts...
Bundoora should win both (v MCL this week, Plenty next) and stay on top - 51pt
Diamond Creek - win roll Riverside this week and should beat NEW - to stay 2nd - 51pt
Research/EC - unlikely this week, should beat LS comfortably (maybe outright) - 45 - 49pt
Riverside - tipping...
If MP finish last in MS - think you would see - B grade premier still up into MS. Mill Park to drop from MS to B grade.
The C grade level is where Mill Park (if premiers) would stay. Cannot get promoted if team alreqady in that grade.
The runner up in C might be given the option of moving up...
Wonder where all there good players are hiding ... perhaps in C grade who are clear on top...???
Or is it just that Mill Park are just a good B/C grade team and not up to the 'A' grade level.
Interesting, fair call I would reckon, going on past verdicts.
Any update on the alleged 3rd ( & 4th, 5th, 6th...) man in against Baker...?
Anyone know, if rumours of police charges being laid against alleged 3rd man in true...?
The 20/20 comp is a combined DVCA, NMCA & HDCA comp.
Common sense prevails if they can actually change the fixture.
You would hate to see a DVCA A grade club field a sub standard team in the regular comp, in order to maybe win the 20/20. Clubs entered the 20/20 comp in good faith, prior to the...
Yep pretty close to the mark from what i heard. Heard this third hand so apologies if not 100%.
Bakes given out in first innings to a dodgy one and gave the ump a serve. Mernda were then asked to follow on. Several confident lbw shouts in the 2nd innings were turned down much to the ire of...
No but 5 of the last 8 are Barclay. seems likely that maybe a few will get thru to the Sunday.
Not fair on these teams who have paid entry fees in good faith, plus umpires along the way, to be robbed of the chance to field their strongest teams on the day.
Or worst still if say a Plenty or...
