the rumour we heard last year when it was sugegsted they would move to Garvey, was they would place an all weather wicket in the middle of the footy ground.
Does the school actually use the turf wicket or just the football ground?
Arent Parade College now Plenty Valley... who have just merged with Yarrambat...? or have i missed something here ???
I did hear the rumour last year about the Francs moving to Garvey however.
Say good bye to YB.
hell of a long way back from D grade as your 'firsts'
Might be easy to drop grades and allow teams to take your place but when they want back into the higher grades they will have to win their way back up.
Heard a rumour today that Riverside have declined to move from B grade to Money Shield and that Whittlesea (as the runner up) have been offered their place???
Surely this is not true.
Bloke from Whittlesea was adamant they had been offered a place in MS ..?
Only way I could see that happening...
True, those players can sometimes break the hearts of committees that employ them, but those committees are generally in Barclay Shield.
Great to grow the club from within, but sometimes you need to top up the talent pool a little to help those kids come thru.
Perhaps if Eltham had paid a few...
79 matches (61 in C grade & below), 999 runs @ 15.7 - who would we be talking about ???
talk about riding on coat tails...
(* this is from Mycricket - the exact stats might not be accurate, I know mine are not)
Harry, if you care to go back thru some of my earlier posts, i was not totally against the merger idea. However it was an absolute shambles the way it was presented to the senior clubs and it never stood a chance.
However, speaking from experience of playing in both the Jika and dvca comps, I...
Mate, seriously... If you can get a slab of VB for $25, no matter how many 1000's you buy, then we will all place orders now...
If your comp is going so well then why do they try to merge with everyone else??
Have tried and failed to merge with heidelberg, now failed in the NCA. Have you...
Snake... Please... I dont think we are taking pot shots at anyone here. It was suggested that Plenty paid their players and was denied. Yes we find it hard to beleive that, but if they have got away with not paying substantial money and won 5 or 6 or so flags inthe process then well done to...
Hmmmm. House renovations done by club..? lucky we dont have salary cap or you might get done for 3rd party payments, which obviously dont go thru the books :D
Great that it is happening but really needs at least 2 divisions.
Would be horrible to see say for example keaysy bowling to someone 55+ - might get seriously ugly.
'A' grade for those whose are serious, open slather for anyone from any grade.
'B' grade for those D graders and under.(cant have...
Funny, no one was seen jumping up and down trying to get on the executive.
The DVCA have said they need at least 6 nominations to join the board this year - including the Junior corodinator which will be a tough gig to fill.
PA - not disputing your role or knowledge of your club at all, but having been Secretary of BCC for 9 years, and then President for another 4, the Secretary doesnt always get involved in the nitty gritty negotiations between Presidents, Coaches and players.
There may well have been some deals...
What I have heard...
The boys from Plenty - whilst not retired, heard they are playing lower grades - Lovey, Pavey, Hubber ???
The 2 Glynn boys from Creek, Waterson ?
others as above.
Can anyone confirm...?
Looking forward to a nice long AGM this year with all of the new nominations for executive positions.
First time we have had a ballot at an AGM for a long long time
No doubt will be a few unhappy people when they miss out on the much sought after positions.
