Unlike previous years, the one day games are not the only game against the three teams you play twice, all sides will play each other in two day games.
The response from the whole club once the saga unfolded and was discussed has been exceptional, very binding to go through this as a club.
The senior core of 1's players have all recommitted to next season and are very excited about what is ahead.
Hopefully a couple of old school additions and...
Someone from the club that started the ball rolling on the investigation and had a massive say in us being handed the actual penalty.
And the word merge would, with the tone of his voice in the conversation, be kind. He was talking takeover.
No need to be surprised Stu, I can confirm that it is true.
After all that happened to us this season, some would say, through our own fault, those that know, would agree it had a lot to do with this bloke, it was a real kick in the guts.
For him to then contact us, without the knowledge of the...
It's wrong Brutal, all 2's teams will be ranked above any 3's teams. and if my math is right, your 2's are around 20-21 in the order.
Direct from DVCA restructure handout. (if they stick with it)
Move all clubs 2nd XI teams into an 80-over grade for 2016/2017 to assist in creating a stronger...
Any truth to the rumour that Macleod trained with bats this week in the nets??
Could they be going to play some shots against the most disciplined of bowling attacks. Surely 2/7 off 27 overs wont be repeated.
The DVCA are pleased to announce the grounds for the above Grand Finals.
Barclay Shield - Waterview South (Main Ground) - Mernda Cricket Club
Money Shield - Lower Eltham - Lower Eltham Cricket Club
B Grade - Yulong Park - Bundoora Cricket Club
I believe that there will still be a B grade, but nothing is confirmed. Interesting that for all the talk on here, there was no mention from any clubs towards the Executive last night of anything to do with the restructure.
No relegation or promotion for all 2's sides - ie, B, C & D grade - all 28 2nd XI sides will be ranked 1-28 on final ladder positions, but the sides winning flags in lower divisions, ie, C & D grade, will not be ranked above those from the higher grades.
Surely this should have been decided and clubs informed by now. Will there be promotion / relegation? Or will it be as the Exec announced, all 2nd XI sides graded from 1-28 and then put in to 3 grades of 8 and the same happens at the bottom end when 2's sides will play 3's sides.....
Massive weekend of games, and will the rain yet play a huge part. Not a lot of time needed either way for Plenty / OP's. Grounds could be extra slow this week, so 177 could be a lot more than normal.....
