Didn’t hear that but did just catch 5 mins of the show this morning. Apparently DVCA have emailed their clubs about some NMCA clubs wanting to join and they’ve recommended to take only 2 but has to go to a vote.

Hard to see them troubling Northern Socials… amazing achievement to have the top 5 leading run scorers and 6 of the top 8 wicket takers in the Jack Kelly Shield this season.

6 team shield grades playing 5 x T20, 5 x OD and 5 x 2 day games? Will finals still be 2 day games? If so, 2 day games and probably 1 day games should be worth more points than T20 games. Would be silly having teams good at bash and crash T20 and one day games only to struggle in 80 over games.

NMCA finished on 16 Dec… DVCA finished on 23 Dec… both take 2 weeks off over Christmas/New Year NMCA has same break structure as Premier and Subbies DVCA back with Sat/Sun next week

What a joke of a season. Unbelievable to be moving teams between grades half way through the season. Every now and then as a club you have a character building season. Suck it up and work hard to get better.

Donath 1 - Jika Donath 5/6 - quick/kelly Would be a great weekend. About 20 years ago when every grand final was at Donath/Dole reserve it was excellent. 8 grand finals at once walking from game to game

Rivergum v HT entered into my cricket as a final score... Did they pull the pin? If so would likely cost them top spot with all the outrights likely next week and NBR with NS in last round.

I don't mind the set-up. Teams in the top grades fighting for promotion could miss out on 1 shocker of a performance/bad weather. It also allows for the clubs in the first XI finals to get all their supporters together as the lower grade finals finish the week before.
