The end of the Australian domestic season is here with the Commonwealth Bank Victoria Bushrangers taking on the Alcohol. Think Again Western Australia Warriors at Bellerive Oval in Hobart from the 21st to the 25th of March 2015.
A lot of controversy has surrounded the game with the MCG unable to host the match as the ground is hosting the 2015 ICC World Cup Final. This game was originally slated to be played at Junction Oval but Cricket Victoria chose to play politics and asked to have the game played at Bellerive Oval. The decision violated Cricket Australia rules which stated that if the host team is unable to host the final then hosting rights shall go to the team that finished in second place which is the Warriors.
Despite this, Cricket Australia broke its own rules and put the game at Bellerive anyway which saw the WACA threaten legal action mid-week. However the WACA withdrew their legal action the following day citing "state harmony" as their main reason.
Anyway, the teams for the game are below,
Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers: Chris Rogers, Rob Quiney, Marcus Stoinis, David Hussey, Peter Handscomb, *+Matthew Wade, Daniel Christian, Peter Siddle, Scott Boland, James Pattinson, Fawad Ahmed, Jon Holland (12th man)
Alcohol. Think Again Western Australia Warriors: Cameron Bancroft, Marcus Harris, Michael Klinger, *Adam Voges, Shaun Marsh, +Sam Whiteman, Ashton Agar, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Nathan Rimmington, Andrew Tye, Simon Mackin, David Moody (12th man)
The weather is expected to be good for most of the game in Hobart, a possible afternoon shower may occur on Monday and a possible late shower on Wednesday but other than that it should be fine for the entire game.
