At least Hauritz keeps it tight and picks up the occasional wicket.

Current spell 0/37 from 4.

Very rare occassion it is, 1 wicket in 48 overs in his last match

Keeping it tight wont help Australia here, they need wickets

Re: Australia in South Africa

McGain going at 8.85 and over, and he has a maiden... without that 10+

SA cruising. Great ton to Prince.

Didn't you post that in the Hilfy thread Mousey? ;)

Re: Australia in South Africa

Atleast McGain getting belted will let the batsmen off the hook for their disgraceful display, cant attack the settled side when a debutant is struggling

yep, its been a real team effort so far.

Re: Australia in South Africa

Gotta feel sorry for him, first over back and he gets smacked for 18.

Oh wait... whats this? 4 dot balls in a row, could it be a maiden....

YES! A MAIDEN! SUPERB!

Re: Australia in South Africa

he"s also going to be much more effective in the latter part of the match, this is a spinners worse nightmare, 2nd day, not turning much, no runs to play with, debut, batsmen on the offensive and set, no footmarks to aim for, give him a chance. he has a good record for victoria so he"s no dud.

Re: Australia in South Africa

Could be quite possibly the worst debutant for Australia ever if this keeps up.

10-2-93-0.

Re: Australia in South Africa

I know the conditions aren't in his favour at the moment but if you are playing for Australia as a specialist bowler you CANNOT go for 9 an over.

Re: Australia in South Africa

Agreed, i wouldnt bowl him at these two batsmen again for this innings, maybe wait for a dismisal or two. the new ball better bring some joy or else we are royally screwed, if we arnt allready.
