Oz/Kiwi Sport

Those two matches in Wgtn are also going to be played behind closed doors too Craig - yeah, really enjoy the yaks as well mate... reckon in our team there's a bit of pressure on Seifert to fire.

All remaining three games are in Wellington Pete. Shame for me.. not you as you are prob working.. that todays game is not a day one.

Australia is set to make changes in the middle order. In the firing line is out of form Ashton Agar. I'd prefer to see him in an enforcing role as he is more a sweet hitter of a cricket ball.. not a crease stayput. Bloody hell if Santner can take wickets in these games.. Agar certainly can. Maxwell has to go but he seems undroppable regardless of how much rubbish he dishes.

All coaches tend to be pretty conservative Craig, we will probably keep the same team, but agree you need to change some of your players that haven't really fired as your blokes need to win this one to stay in the series.

out of form Ashton Agar.
Little wonder as he has only played two games in almost four months. Underdone.. lacking match fitness or a match mentality.. call it whatever.

Some knob on WP called me a clown and a know it all. I reported him.. bloody trolls.. write something they dont approve of and they resort to personal name calling.

Did you catch this match Pete. Cam Green proving he is not just a red ball specialist. The scribe called his innings explosive. No argument from me.

Didn't see that game Craig - but was an outstanding power hitting ton from Green, the bloke has to play in all 3 formats.

Great batting by your blokes mate, especially Finch & Maxwell... disappointed in our bowling though we bowled too much loose stuff, reckon only way we will get that total is if your bowlers serve us up a fair bit of poor bowling as well.

That was a nice little hiding Pete. One to you one to us.. the other a close one. BCs were traveling ok then Agar turned the game on its head. Finally showed you Kiwis why he is rated ICC top T20 bowler.

Was an absolute thrashing Craig... as said we bowled too much crap which then put far too much pressure on our batsmen, thought your bowlers were excellent bowling in much better areas as an unit than us.
Yeah, Agar bowled really well, we were already under huge pressure though to try & hit boundaries before he took all those wickets.
The bowler that impressed me was Meredith, he's really fast & accurate too.

Here's the starting teams mate... Santner is the only change to either team.

NZ : Guptill, Seifert, Williamson (c), Conway, Phillips, Neesham, Santner, Southee, Jamieson, Sodhi, Boult.

AUSSIE : Finch (c), Wade, Philippe, Maxwell, Stoinis, Marsh, Agar, Meredith, J Richardson, K Richardson, Zampa.

Aussies batting first Pete. BCs must be expecting some turn. Stoinis, Marsh and Agar need to contribute if early wickets fall. I honestly can not understand why Ben McDermott has not had a game. Wade has had an ordinary series and Mac can also keep.. so a no brainer as a replacement.

Looks a completely different wicket from the other day Craig - yeah, certainly a lot of turn out there, has to be if Santner can turn it that much... Jamieson couldn't get it right in the last over, was excellent ball striking by Finch though... key for us is to get a good opening partnership, if we lose early wickets it's going to be really hard yakka for us.

That was clinical by our blokes Pete. Reckon Agar set it up with his power play 3-1-7.
All set for an exciting finale on Sunday.

Very Clinical performance by your blokes mate & a top effort to get back to 2-2... yeah winner takes all on Sunday.

Thought it was weird that Williamson didn't bowl himself & Phillips who also bowls some spin on a wicket that was turning a lot.

Yeh mate one or two on WP said same. Is Kane reluctant to bowl himself as he has been pinged for chucking in the past. The skipper also needs to remove death bowling duties from Jamo.. as on Kiwi supporter calls him. The big guy melts under pressure....

Reckon Williamson been done for chucking is part of it, but he's got the ok now so needs to bowl especially when a wicket like yesterdays suited him & also would've been a plus for the team.
Jamo bowled well at the death in the 3rd 20/20, so can do it, he handles the pressure well in ODI's & Test matches - just got it badly wrong in that last over against Finch, also he needs to bowl more slower balls, any bowler can get smashed in the last over for 20 or so in 20/20's or ODI's... he showed some good power hitting to help edge us past 100 in what was a shocking batting performance, we were too tentative with the bat.

Well Pete you are no doubt gloating and for very good reason as we kept out worst till last. Southee and Boult just too good at the start and death. Games are won and lost there. Also good tactics to use a spin heavy attack.
Jamo went for 55 in one game, 49 the last. I wicket with e/r of 12. You dont wanna know what his average was. Was he sacked or did they wanna use an extra spinner. Btw I was unable to spot you and mates..

It was only smash/bash stuff Craig, but was great to beat your mob 😀
As usual winning or losing comes down to the side that bowls the best as a unit, this time it was us, also our batmen played in a much more positive manner, the pitch didn't spin as much as last time.
One of our pace bowlers had to be replaced to bring in another spinner for this wicket... so the one with the least experience in 20/20's Jamo was the one that was going to be left out, yeah, realized he got hammered in a couple of matches, but he'll learn & adjust knowing he needs to get the ball much fuller in good areas & use more slower balls as well.
Mate, we had a great day out at the stadium in the Autumn sun drinking a few cold ones 🍻 I should've painted a sign & held it up so you could spot me 🙂
Guppy struck some massive 6's.

Jamo will improve in T20. Perhaps a bit harsh as he has been impressive most other times I have see him. As you say we both have a coupla good all rounders on our hands. Ours has just tapped a lazy 250 for his state. Now the youngest West Aussie to do this feat. Including Premier Cricket (club) Green keeps setting records and he is only 21. with the big fellar hitting some 700 runs in his last four ventures to the crease.
What a shame we have no Test cricket till November as to have someone in Green's present form is a bloody waste. I am so p***** off that we are being denied test cricket for a second year.
