OHHHHHHH NO BALL!!;120277 said:The best thing about Bucks was their home ground.
Fine leg on one ground is standing at 2nd slip on another!!
Opening Batsman;121189 said:yes way too many wickets there at Anglis Reserve and over laping each other.
Opening Batsman;118131 said:The old FCA. Folded in the mid 1990's and most of the teams went into the Sunshine assocation who then folded a few years later and the remaining teams went in to the Williamstown assocation
Some great clubs played in the FCA - ANA, Bucks, Balmoral, Maribyrnong, Laurel, VUT, Tottenham, West Rec (I think that what they were called).
Rumour at the time it folded was thet the FCA was cashed up and heaps in the Bank..

Always thought BUCKS were very strong in the 90's, much like the Collingwood of the FCA, played hard but always good for a drink after the game.
Opening Batsman;149812 said:How did BUCKS fold, They had a number of teams somethink like 5 in total with 2 teams in B Turf at one stage, I been told they had a lots and lots of dollars but yet there players were not paid (mind you they were poach from other clubs). Been suggested to me that someone ran away with all the money..
Mitcha;153210 said:Hated playing those bastards from Bucks, Grant Jones was a good bat, and they had a good slowie Scott Gilham but most of the rest were just tossers. What about some other FCA legends like John Bjorjenak, Larry Simmons, Vid Richardson, John Sharp, Terry Cahill, Wayne Connor, Lucky Aripides Gary and Steven Barrow. Some quality players running round years back. Cant ever remember any good players at Balmoral, they were a disgrace.
