Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

Can't believe Klinger was given not out first ball, absolutely plumb.

edit * geez Heal is crap in the field.

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

I think SA will have it in the bag that Klinger is in. Needed him early and that did happen... but that's the game.

Be thankful that chance came since you stole our Nofke. :D

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

What sort of shot was that from Cooper? lol. Badly needed 2nd wicket for the Warriors.

edit* maybe not that bad watching the replay :p

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

No hope of a bonus point now, but a good result for every other team here with the redbacks winning

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

It seems like the bonus point is still in the offering eddie... 19 off 12 balls required for that.

I very badly overestimated Marcus Norths abilities as skipper

Can't blame this one on North, Christian and Klinger did the damage.

The bowling of Aaron Heal in the powerplay and the continued bowling of him despite going for 20+ runs in 1 over can be blamed on the captain

The thing is that Heal is one of the better bowlers in Australia, especially in the shorter formats, so when your strike bowler goes for runs you would think they could come back and get their wicket the next over or two. Unfortunately that didn't work. North is a respectable captain.

When did you make this call, after the game was finished? :p

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

Very nice of QLD to let the Blues have a win for a change and in doing so throw away their guaranteed final spot, now its wide open with every team except WA able to make it

5 points seperates 1st and 5th on the table with every team having 2 games remaining
QLD- 21- Tas (Bellerive), Vic (GABBA)
VIC- 17- NSW (MCG), QLD (GABBA)
NSW- 17- VIC (MCG), SA (AO)
SA- 17- WA (WACA), NSW (AO)
TAS- 16- QLD (Bellerive), WA (WACA)
WA- 13- SA (WACA), TAS (WACA)

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

Looking at it a bit closer, it may actually be possible for every team to end up on 21 points

I really hope that happens just for the sake of it :D

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

Would be good as it means QLD lose both of their remaining games :D

Although apparently they have taken alot of confidence out of losing to the bottom side :D

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

I would think that all teams have never finished with the same points before, so if it takes QLD to lose then so be it, just to achieve the feat :p

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

Jessica Yates looking pretty good on the WACA boundary today.

oh and South Australia 4 for 154 :)

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010

Great effort to restrict South Australia to 9 for 233, having Voges and M.Marsh back should be handy.

What's the bet WA have another massive batting collapse...
